I am sad to hear that war is shutting down, that was my first mmo and played it for a solid 3 yrs. Id have to admit that game had alot of flaws lol for instence x guarding tanks. That game got me into mmos and honestly I had the most fun when it ca.e to pvp. Pvp on that game was different loved it alot. Hope swtor doesnt die too soon I just recently subed again after a yr or so break from mmos

EA's last Quarterly report indicated that revenues for this game were profitable and increasing. I don't have the direct quote. It was greater than 10%, less than 20%. That's what's known as a good investment for anyone not familiar out there. Game isn't in danger of dying. Onto WAR. Never had a game I was so excited about systematically break my heart one patch after another. Could have been great, ultimately a failure (to me, others have different experiences). RIP my White Lion, and his pet Crackers.

As a long time DAOC player I knew WAR was going to be a horrible disappointment, Mythic got lucky with DAOC or they had a very different crew that ran the game than made the game, There was Atlantis which I thought was just a nightmare, then they really started bastardiizing the game, when they made archers like wow hunters and totally killed the most unique archery mechanic in any mmo I left and never even considered going back. I played WAR for the free month and saw it was the same peoples bad ideas running the show.

I've heard directly from a guy who works in Imagineering that something is on the horizon for another SW MMO, but it's only in the planning stages. He said something else too was a possibility, but I won't mention what it was since he said it was something they would "like" to do fairly soon, but no guarantees.
