PVP Coms Should Be under the same Weekly Cap as PVE Coms.

You can Que into a pvp match and just sit there and get coms " defending" and you can convert those coms into the top tier gear in the game for pvp. If your lucky you will find a pug that can clear more than 2 bosses and even then the chances on the loot are slim.

With a single Metal. You will get Credit toward the Daily and the weekly. That Sounds alot more For sure to me .

Have you puged raids In the lase few months?. All but a few of the good players are left. Most guilds can't even clear Last tiers Hm Content. Let alone EC HM. So there is hardly any groups getting 72 lvl pve gear let alone 78. You will Find no Groups Puging HM DP OR DF. Because most SM groups are a fail, and SM Mostly drops 69.
So you theory about getting carried and getting constant coms is flawed. The only thing consistent is PVP where you get credit for walking into a pvp. You have to acutely be with people that are good in pve to get rewards. You don't kill the 1st boss, you get 0 coms. In pvp , you get 0 kills you get some coms and credit towards the weekly and daily.

So you think it is hard to Min max in pvp, Try doing it in PVE where every piece , every mod , every thing is based on your group to kill the boss and get the loot then you have fight over a roll. With bad rolls it will take WEEKS to get a single Token. While Pvpers can just grind away and get there gear 1 mod at a time with Nothing stopping them.

And that is the point. There is Nothing stopping them. While PVE is stuck by bad groups that means you get 0 coms or gear. The only thing you do get is Low end gear on the things that can be killed , useless. And when you do finely kill enough low end Bosses your capped for the week to 1 piece unless you play a 2nd or a 3rd or a 4th toon.

PVP need to be capped and no longer able to convert coms. Or PVE needs to be Uncapped and allowed to convert coms up 1 tier

The very VERY good reason is PVP stinks in this game IMO. That alone is good enough reason to find ANY way to promote it.

Well according to a few post above PVP is not easy. I really don't care. It should be on the same footing with pve coms. .. ect.

Why not take it one step further and only award commendations for winning? I mean if you don't progress in raids or flashpoints you don't get rewarded right?

conversion is needed because rated was/is dead. they introduced the rated coms without a working rated system, that is why you need to be able to converse them.

to your other point:

pve gear gain is way faster then pvp. i remember that it took me 2 weeks OPs to get nearly full Rakata with my IA. That is a effective playtime of 4-6 hours.

I suggest you do 4-6 hours PVP and come back to this thread and tell us how many end gear items you got.

With the exception of Classic, all of the pve gear is better than pvp gear. Pvp gear costs 3 to 7x more than pve gear. Pve gear drops from bosses left and right without needing to spend a single comm.

I really don't see the comparison at all.

This thread fails, an alternative for BW is to ignore this thread.

1/10

In the very off chance that this is not trolling, I will explain why it is the way it is.

In PvP, players are the content. There are no infinitely respawnable bosses to populate instances with. If people don't queue, PvP doesn't happen. Thus, the developers do not wish to give PvPers any disincentive to PvP. This explains:

1) Why there is no weekly cap on commendations;
2) Why you get commendations for losing;
3) Why you can convert regular commendations to ranked.

To me it seems that PvE is meant to be separate from PvP They are two different styles of game within TOR. To an extent the Devs have seemed to allow some crossover by give PvP gear a modicom of PvE stats and implementing bolster for PvE players trying to play PvP.

Even the difficulty of content you face is different. PvE you know what you're getting into in terms of challenge level. PvP you don't really have any clue until you start and see what you're up against. The two types of play are just worlds apart.
