Also, Com Conversion....

You should not be allowed to convert unranked to ranked coms.

You can't turn planet coms to basic, or Elite coms to ulti. So why do they allow PVP to Grease by again, and not make them work for the gear.

Boy i wish i could just do Ev Sm over and over , and convert those classic coms to Ulti coms.

Its the same thing.

PVP coms are meant to get gear fast so that you can actually do things in pvp. Bolster doesnt do much good unfortunently without pvp gear. Also i think it would be pretty hard to cap out weekly coms unless all u did is farm ops, but then even still ur getting like 3-9 pieces of gear depending on what you need.

just my 2 cents

@Pizza

You are only allowed 150 coms a week.

The cheapest thing you can buy is 80 coms.

80x2 = 160.....That puts me 10 coms short

You can only get 1 piece of gear a week

If you do DF OR DP 16M SM that is over 50 coms for 1 run If you only kill 4 bosses. 4 ops a week will get you to your max.

Just say those ops took 2 hr per run on average . That is only 8 hrs of game play , and your done. No more coms unless you swap toons and start again. Pvpers should have to deal with the same thing. Or get rid of the weekly cap all together.

The over all cap is 300, Like the PVP one is 2750.

Fine have them Dope 61 pvp gear at the end of every match. Its all Under Tier Gear any way. Unless you are working progression .Then your Limited to 1 lockout a week. Not very good odds on Getting a drop.

Stupidest suggestion I have ever seen, and I have seen plenty of those while browsing these forums. Lets put this into a simplistic perspective, shall we?

PvE: Can get your gear from drops, and coms is for if you receive none of it.

PvP: You solely get gear from coms, with a MUCH higher cost per item.

Sure, we can farm all we want, but you likely will do terribly until you are at least partly geared, where as in PvE you can just do easier content until you are geared enough to start the next tier. For PvP, there is only 3 tiers, pre-55, 55, and Ranked. To just become able to compete without being roflstomped, it takes someone a week or two. That is comparative to a PvE week of doing HM's to get decent enough gear to start the easy OPs.

However, it takes nearly four times longer to get the next set of gear, stock. Any PvPer worth his salt however knows that isn't the end of it, hell no, that is just the beginning. From there, we have to min-max to become the most capable that we can be. This can take a very, very, long time due to each mod being separate now *thank god, we used to have to buy entire pieces for one or two mods/enhancements* Yet, even separate, each mod/enhancement is about 400 ranked coms. Not too bad, if you win all of your games. By the time your down gearing, if you were able to pvp every single day, every week, and complete every daily and weekly that you got for Pvp, it will be a very long grind even then.

PvE may cost less coms and have a cap, but you always receive the same comm amounts when you kill the boss *which is easy enough once you know the fights and are decently geared* However, PvPers will either get a reasonable amount from a win, or a pitiful amount from a loss. There will always be a 1-1 ratio of winning teams to losing teams due to that is how it works, which means at any one time, half of the entire PvP base is advancing at about half the pace of the other half. Sometimes they get lucky, some times they have losing/winning streaks. Some of the times it is due to your team being good/bad, sometimes it has to due with your gear/skill.

However, it is much harder to guarantee a pace of progression without getting an already geared pre-made to roflstomp pugs *which is equivalent of a PvEer getting carried through an ops for gear* Both have their ups and downs, they have their own value ratio's, they have their own ways to obtain them. However, PvE coms are much sturdier when it comes to gaining coms since if you are competent and have decent gear you are almost guaranteed to get your coms at a decent pace and might get gear pieces to drop from bosses.

Removing the cap would only HURT PvE, and adding a cap to PvP would only hurt it.
