Not really, her dialog explains how she got there and it fits the lore fine I think.

Why is that a bad thing? Some of the best stories in the game are 'grey' in their morality. Playing as a grey IA in particular is the best story in the game I think. I didn't pick the Empire because I wanted to be totally evil (even if it is fun at times!) I just preferred their style and storytelling. I actually like how you can explore the light side of the Empire too.

Anyway, I don't see how lightsaber colors or the choice of armor changes the level of immersion or lore. I mean, cut-scenes and NPC's still have clothes and lore aspects which fit their faction/class. You are only going to see people dressed like that on the fleet/ops, and no one has any right to tell people what they should/should not ware. Personally I think customization is one of the best aspects of the game (Even if aspects could be better implemented, such as the dye system). Besides, why shouldn't a veteran Jedi ware heavy armor or a Bounty Hunter a robe? It could fit there actual characters better then faction-ware.

Also, the only "official" lore, by George Lucas' standard, is the last DVD/Blueray release of the 6 movies; everything else is below that and could be ignored or accepted as he sees fit.

Just FYI.

Outside the broad strokes of the story lore is almost meaningless within an MMO environment.
Click my link please, I'm almost out of Cartel coins - http://www.swtor.com/r/Sh6HPh

*Eradicator mask
*Imperial Officer
*Galv and energ infantry trooper armor etc etc
That can be worn by both Factions?
So the empire will now have Troopers on fleet and Republic have a Imperial Officer running around on their fleet?'

Just dont get it.. but faction limitations on the gear or stick to how its suppost to look.. Empire Vs Republic... over and out
I would have to say that not only would I strongly oppose this idea, that this is the exact kind of thinking that contributed to the game falling flat on it's face in the first place.

In my opinion they need to REMOVE the current class restrictions that remain on orange crafted gear. To do what you suggest would be a step backward, and a foolish move to boot IMO.

As for the gear, surely it's beyond absurd if you got a piece of gear from the opposing faction but couldn't equip it for that reason? Is there a switch on a piece of clothing that says "This guy isn't from my faction, I won't let him wear me"?
Imagine what A New Hope would have been like if those Stormtrooper uniforms refused Luke and Han to wear them!

Besides which, this is a game first and foremost and if the player wants to 'cross-faction dress' he should be able to do so.
/Agree with this assessment.

On a positive note... I have not seen lore police in the forums for ......... ages now. We were due I guess.

So I take it Sith can't use blue lightsabers then? because Darth Vader did, Exar Kun did, Darth Krayt did, Ulic Qel-Droma did.

And there are quite a few examples of even Orthodox Jedi using a shade of red for their lightsaber, red might symbolise a Sith Lord in most examples but the only reason they used red in reality was because the original crystals the Sith were able to get a resource from were red, because the entire Horuset system had red only.

After that the Sith believed their synthetic red crystals were superior to the Jedi's natural crystals and eventually that became their main colour, the second most widely used being Violet.

There are many legitimate complaints about the lore in this game. Lightsaber crystal colors and fun outfits don't qualify.

Same way there is one Khem Val running around. The only thing that is even slightly lore breaking is that for an unfamiliar species I can easily understand her jibber-jabber.
You need relics pre-50? I've NEVER used a relic until 50+., and now have... 6 fifties, across multiples servers. So I think I know what I'm doing,

OP, we have Jedi Masters running around in pink/purple slave girl outfits. I don't think having Imp officer armour for both factions is the problem...

I think it's up to each player if they are worried about lore. Some may have backstory in their head that explains choices that you may find go against lore... like a Jedi wearing a Sith outfit, maybe they are a child of the Emporer and their true allegiance is to the Empire?

Anyway, not for us to judge other people's clothing choices. As far as I am concerned, the more choice the better, then everyone can be happy with their own selections.
