I could simply state that I'm annoyed that Bioware removed the reason for many people transferring shortly after they did so (and after they had made many posts stating they were doing so all over the forums), and SUGGEST (Gasp!) that it would be right for them to offer free transfers back their origin servers.

I know, groundbreaking
Actually it is.. Why should Bioware give anything out for free because they made a change to the game?? You need to look at this from the point of view that you aren't entitled to anything..

You made the choice to transfer.. The reason why is irrelevant and separate from Bioware... They made a change to the game for whatever reason and this upsets the reason you changed servers.. Oh well... There is nothing you can do about it and you are not due anything in return.. They are trying to make the game better.. What are you doing?? Besides whining and complaining about how you want a free transfer for literally no reason that concerns anyone but you..
Who is the more foolish? The fool or the fool that follows him?

His analogy is dead on.. I drove to Perkin's and didn't get what I wanted, just as you transferred servers and didn't get what you wanted.. It is totally the same.. The difference is, I didn't demand that Perkins buy me some gas to pay for my return trip home.. You on the other hand are.. Well... You want a free transfer back to your old server.. Sorry.. It doesn't work that way.. Bioware has done nothing wrong and owes you nothing..
Lol!

So... much... wrong... can't.....

Ok, whew, where to start.

First, you're not paying the restaurant to drive there.

Second you DO have the option to call them if you are really worried about what is on the menu.

Third, if the restaurant was well known for its Lasagne, was advertising a 'pasta lovers night' and the Lasagne lovers club was posting in the restaurant's official forums about paying the restaurant to attend so they could get themselves some tasty Lasagne... Which the restaurant whipped off the menu just as people started to smell it in the kitchens...

THEN the analogy might start to be closer to the situation. But then again, twisted analogy is twisted. Don't force it man.

They did not NEED to do anything about that armor. They chose to provide the original armor again so that players could have the set they preferred.

This, however, did not cost them anything. They did NOT provide a service for free.

Should have just called them up or checked their menu beforehand. But I'm glad you had the option to find something else that you liked on the menu. I'm sorry, we still think this analogy isn't stupid?

Whilst I'm sure being told I'm just moaning by two people who are not in the least bit affected by the problem hurts me deeply () does anyone have anything constructive to add?
Once again, you ignore the fact that I DO have a vested interest in this situation.

Only one of us is here throwing a tantrum and making demands of BW, though. I wonder which of us that would be.

Meanwhile, still lots of "entitled" and "demanding" being thrown around, when it's been acknowledged more than once that absolutely NO ONE is saying this is something BW HAS to do. It's not like this is a post made in General saying OMG OMG BW DO THIS OR I AM GOING TO UNSUB OMG !111!!!!
The OP, however, IS making demands of BW.

Suggest? More like you are demanding.

If for some reason PvE'ers chose to transfer because a higher population made for a more overall enjoyment for some reason they would have done something.

Let's try this again. I do not expect an answer to these questions this time, either, though as the answers would tend to indicate that you are suffering from a false sense of entitlement, and really do not have a leg upon which to stand.

Did you get what you paid to get?

Did BW act within their rights? Rights to which you agreed, BTW

Again, you seem to be under this really odd delusion that customer satisfaction begins and ends with Terms of Service. If I get crappy service at a restaurant, but get the food I ordered, I can still complain. The restaurant can choose to ignore my complaint, and I can choose to take my business elsewhere.

Most good establishments would prefer a chance at resolving complaints without it coming to that, which is the point of this thread. Call it a suggestion, call it a demand, call it what you like! Bioware can ignore the thread, they can take up my suggestion, or they can do something completely different. But your attitude is bizarre. Seriously! It's really really strange.

Exactly! They didn't HAVE to. But they did.

It *did* cost them something, from the CM time spent dealing with the issue on the forums, and the time that someone would have to take to make the slight changes in coding to put the original armor back in the game, determine who had it, and mail them the items.

Granting people who probably would NOT pay again to transfer characters that they've also transferred once would be such a minuscule "expense" it's not even funny. (And not really an "expense," but additional revenue not received that they were highly unlikely to get anyway.)
