I've started the launcher ~15:25 UTC, but it showed the "Encountered an unspecified error" message after entering password.
Okay, closed launcher, killed BRSptSvc.exe and brwc.exe, that were stuck in process list since accidental launch when servers were down.
But now it just locks up at "Installing 100%, Updating - Complete", application window completely freeze.
Subsequent restarts did not changed anything, so did not the FixLauncher.exe tool. After unpacking and starting a new launcher, it updates itself, and the process repeat.
It's almost 20:00 UTC, and the launcher was unresponsible for all that time, sitting idle, doing practically nothing.

That archive contains exactly the same files as the ones residing in my game client folder.
Bit-by-bit.

How to force launcher to perform a complete recheck?

Just to confirm, have you performed this step already?

If you are referring to it coming up with the message that the file already exists, then please chose to replace it. This will replace your file with the latest and new version of the files in question. This can help with any corruption issues there maybe.

Thanks.

Files C:\Games\SWToR\client.sha1sums and repair.sha1sums are identical
, I don't see any point in replacing a file with identical copy.
But to make it simple for you, you can assume I did what you asked for. No changes.

How to force a complete installation recheck/repair?
And will I be paid for betatesting this piece of coding for you?

It doesn't mean the files are identical, it means they have the same file name.

If you are using the streaming launcher, these steps will force a check of the files.

Thank you.

Look, I understand that you're a community manager. I even sympathize to your effort.
The problem right now is that I am technical specialist.
And when I say that files are the same, you gonna trust me, or we won't end anywhere. I could lie to you and say "yeah, whatver, I did it", which will not change the situation in the end, but it will be a lie.

So, again, how to force a recheck, or at least stop this raider crashing on boarding attempt and jump to action already?
Deleting and redownloading whole game is not an option.

'kay, I apologise for my previous reply, it appears, I twice read wrong answer from the same link you gave me.
Deleting the BitRaider directory from installation folder indeed changed something.
Now the launcher is back to "unspecified error" state.
However, now, that I've started the launcher concurrently with another program with heavy disk access, it appears that BitRaider, even though the launcher presumed it dead, is actually doing something disk-heavy in the background.
Spoiler

If that was the state in which it was stuck for five hours, how much I should wait for this process to complete? And how to know, what it is doing actually?
