What is happening is unacceptable, it's not as though they have put out 1 patch in the last 6 weeks that has not broken something else, gone wrong or just plain forced redownloading the whole game.

Random patch days
No notice of patches
NO thought for their customers, they in the end pay the wages via subscription or market purchases.

There seems to be no QA & no procedures in place to check & limit the effects of people more or less doing what they like when they like!

How about changing the culture to one of excellence, instead of incompetence???
How about thinking about how to minimise fallout, rather than just hoping that people will do something unacceptable (not login to a service they paid for), you look at solutions to rolling back patches, methods of storing downloaded patches if rollbacks are not possible!
And more over, think, if this was done to you, how would you like the provider to behave!

Wow... rage much?

I don't even know where to begin with this, so I'll just skip to the end. Calm down, it's going to be ok. No lasting damage done. Enjoy the time away from the game. Come back when fixed. Enjoy.

I do not expect any type of compensation. While it would be nice it may create more problems as people have different expectations of what is compensation.

Anything they do would be nice and very customer facing but don't get your hopes up and don't go around expecting anything.

I am sure there will be an official response in the coming days. I guess we will see.

You people must not have played WoW in the first year. Issues with patches were common place. Sometimes we were compensated, sometimes not.

I wouldn't care about the mistake if I didn't have to re-download the entire game. I waited until today after logging on to see the 11.6 gig download. Log onto SWTOR about 40 minutes ago and 40 minutes later it's at 10.89. Booo. Of course this is my day off work and I only have one class. Sad panda.

Not really. The game disk installs very quickly, but that was an early version of the game. All of the stuff that has been added/patched/expanded needs to be downloaded. That's the part that takes forever.
