Ok, as anyone who reads these forums will know, I (and many, many others) have issues with the Refer a Friend scheme. Wait, wait, wait, don't stop reading yet, this isn't a moan...

Basically I managed to get 3 referrals to work, but I want the other two pets. I have tried over and over with new e-mail accounts, but I can't get the accounts to link up (they never appear in my account as my referrals).

So, according to BW, this is me being a moron. Fine, let's say it's true.

So what I am asking is, please could someone else try creating a new e-mail address and using my referral link? All I am asking you to do is:

1) Make a new e-mail address (use fake details, not your own);
2) Click this link: http://www.swtor.com/r/ThfBrc
3) Create a new account. Use any username you like, but please ensure that the subscribe to SWTOR e-mails is ticked (it should be by default)
4) You'll get an e-mail to the new account. Click the link to verify the e-mail, then create a password.
5) Post here and tell me the username of the new account, so I can check if it worked in my account. If it did, you can give me the usernames and passwords and I can then take over the account and e-mail, sub it and get my rewards.

This'll honestly only take you 5 minutes and I am 100% NOT ASKING YOU TO SUB. Please do not spend any money!

I just need to get a new account to be associated with my account and I cannot make it work. BW say it is not bugged, even though I am doing exactly what they say. I am a collector and I just want the other two pets.

I know I am asking random strangers to do me a favour and I'm sure most of you have stopped reading by now, but I can't think of anything else to do. Maybe if the referral is coming from a completely different IP address it won't bug out? I've tried other computers but maybe someone else can make it work? Hell, maybe I am actually so stupid I am doing something wrong when I sign up?? I made it work 3 times, but I've tried 7 other times already.

Anyway, I would really appreciate it if anyone was willing to try this. I'm kind of throwing myself on your mercy here. I dunno, maybe I could think of a reward for your efforts!

I just don't know what else to try

PS I'm happy to do this for someone else who is having trouble with the scheme in return.

I might as well pitch in for a fellow who was scammed just as I was.

I'll PM you the details.

I posted this on another thread. Hope it helps some people:

As unbelievable as this may sound, using a different computer to sign up actually works.

I've now created 5 accounts on this PC trying to get a referral to work. Not a single one of them worked. I pulled out my laptop this morning, created another new email account, sent my referral link to it and success. Creating a referred account on another PC actually does work and the referral is showing up on my account.

UPDATE: I was able to create a second referred account on my laptop and the referral worked. However, a third account did NOT work. It looks like there is a limit to the amount of referrals you can sign up on a single PC.

UPDATE #2: Since I couldn't create a third referral on my laptop, I decided to create one on my wife's laptop. I used the link and followed all of the instructions as before and the referral did not work. Maybe they're looking at IPs? Whatever it is, it doesn't make sense to me.
