Im just saying there are so many posts about so irelevant things for AAA MMO game. Its like some people want SWTOR to become their facebook game or some sort of Second life.

Sure, you can say what it has to do with me?
Well, looks like BW is gone full on cosmetics (listening to this forum) and whole game is loaded with it.

First, I wanted to grind some of ToR reputations thru dailies, but reputation rewards are, guess what, cosmetic items. Empty shells without stats. Not useful in any way for me. And I actually like doing dailies and this took away my motivation to do them. And I checked every single vendor, all of them sell cosmetics. Oh wait, there is one with lightsaber with actual stats.
Second, I never liked to show-off and people who show-off. Never understood logic why other people have to look at you and admire colors and model of your armor. I dont know, maybe Im just too old, but I never needed heroes or wanted to be one.

Especially a AAA MMO has to have plenty of cosmetic items. MMOs want to reach many different players, an dthat means that you have to deal with many different tastes. The RP community, just the people you want to have a stylish looking character, people who watch the movies and thing some of the characters change rather often their outfits, so they want that too in their game and so on. Who are you, that you think it is not a legit endevor people have in their MMO expirience?

I for example are mostly into PvP, still even before the cartel market and the reputation was implemented I got to social X and bought plenty of social outfits (basically every of my companions is dressed up to look good). I want that when people visit my ship, that they can at least see what I have done with my companions, since there is not much else one can do to customize the starship (and i would totally do that as soon BioWare implements tools for that).

When you play the game of PvP, you win or you die.

In my experience, there are certain things that casuals care and do not care about. This is not a complete list, just a few items I have become aware of...

Casuals care about

Appearance
QoL features
Convenience
Animations
Sound
Story content
Events
RP support
Alternate game progression and play features
F2P and markets
Achievements
Housing and decoration
Crafting
Pets, vehicles, etc.

Casuals generally do not care about

PVP
Ranked play of any kind
Endgame content
Gear (other than appearance or convenience)
Min/Max
Visual progression
Balance

I think we will see more focus on the former and less on the latter as time marches forward and traditional hardcore players leave the market for greener pastures. Note that the "generally do not care" list does not mean that those are things that casuals oppose, only that those things are not of high priority compared to the prior list.
Sorry but that is the sort of market analysis that caused TOR to flop in the first place.

MMO players like many different things, whether they are "casual" or "hard core". The terms really only distinguished two things back in the day... 1) How long are your average play sessions? and 2) How much do you play a week?. That's it. Within those two groups you will find people who care deeply about the same things and totally different things.

Bioware's big mistake was thinking that "All players we are targeting like X, and don't care about Y and Z, so we can completely ignore Y and Z." They still haven't figured this out.

No. The Cartel Market is a fashion shop.

And you don't want it the other way, because it would be pay to win.

So, where is there a problem? People can individually dress their character. This is a good thing. Most player want to do this since the first MMO games startet.

Where it is a problem is a year or two from now, when they have aggravated away their entire "hard core" player base with nickel and diming and they no longer exist to pad the revenue numbers.

The whole CM thing shows how clueless they are. It started life as a way for EA to make some money from people unable or unwilling to spend $15/month to play the game and quickly morphed into a way to wring more than $15/month from their most dedicated fans. What was set up (or at least sold to the consumers) as an optional payment method is now just a shameless cash grab.

Got any facts for that? Because most people I talk to very much care about their looks including me. So please don't use this 'minority' word without proof.

I don't know about anyone else but personally, I get sick of seeing the same exact cookie cutter toons trampling about the galaxy. The more diversified the players, the more immersed I feel. Im sure there was at least one stormtrooper that said "I miss the days of color combinations in this useless armor."

That pic is officially epic.

I care about my characters. Each one has their own unique personality and they should be able to stand out in a crowd and at the same time maintain their set bonuses and have the best armorings mods and enhancements, barrels, hilts etc.

So I don't understand your gripe?!?
