It became all about looks. Looks and nothing else.
Is anyone here interested about how your character perform, about character stats, about gameplay itself, about new new content, achievements, world bosses mechanics and such?

Instead we get a ton of posts/threads like "armor looks ugly", " mount and armor clipping issues", "BW, where is that greenish-whitish-blackish etc dyes we wait for sooooo long", "where is that cool looking hat for my scoundrel" etc etc etc.

What is this - a barbie shop? Little girls not happy with their barbies dress color " its too red, we want a bit more orangeish".
Dont we have enough balance problems, bugs, story inconsistencies, computer incompatiblities, cartel market nonsense etc to talk about minor details in looks?
More and more I have a feeling Im in a kindergarten.

You must be new to MMOs. Character appearance typically is very important to players. Fortunately, this is something BioWare is starting to understand, too :P

You act like they are mutually exclusive or something.

Protip: it's always been about the looks for many players. Not many run around in the armor skins available at release.

What gear do you wear by the way? Show us a screenie.. you know.. to disprove any hypocrisy here.

Well, given your topic choice and the way you presented it.. I can sort of see that.

by the way.. I love the 505 Cybernetic Set. It's all kinds of Awesome, with a heavy splashing of Uber Sauce all over it.

AND... just because you took enough interest to make a thread to complain about it..... here you go http://tor-fashion.com/

Yeah, because nobody ever complains about gameplay, balance, etc...

Since you can have great stats in a wide variety of gear, why not try to make your character look cool or however you want?

This thread confuses me.

OP, the troll is strong with you. Or does it really bother you so much you have to make a QQ thread about it? If you want to say what people can and can not express their like/dislike, then pay for their sub. Otherwise, nobody will change for what you want. It's not always about you.

Welcome to the new casual dominated MMO market. Appearance is one of the top concerns of casual players. The market is no longer supported or driven by traditional hardcore players...they appear to be leaving the market for more challenging games.

That's a dire case of selective reading that you have OP...

Looks are traditionally a big part of MMOs, and comparatively it's not outrageous in this game yet. If you want silly play some Planetside 2, where players spend $7 on a horn for one vehicle or dumb looking skins. Then join a battle of hundreds, half of whom are too busy tooting horns and jumping around showing off skins to join in the combat. That said I miss the ol' days before cash shops took off.

And to add.. while I am an "old gummer" in the MMO genre.. having played it for well past a decade... I very much appreciate that the MMO dev in this game gives me lots of choices in how to gear and appear on my player characters. The old days of being handed a "clown suit" by the devs are over. I think they are kind of over for all devs everywhere finally.

Of course, IMO.. the end game default gear in SWTOR is still produced and distributed by ClownsRus... but at least I can pull the mods an burn the skins and put the mods on decent looking gear.
