The gear found in the game i appropriate for the era, and gear from the Clone Wars series and the movies do not belong in this era.

Its like having a game set in ancient Egypt and making a post complaining about the lack of athletic shoes and blue jeans that you know exist because you saw protesters in Cairo wearing them on the news. And then crying how you really love Egypt but the devs and other who don't agree with you obviously don't.

Of course if you actually were a Star Wars fan (instead of using it as an excuse to post an unfounded gripe) I wouldn't have had to explain this.
Wow, I sure am glad you were here to let us "lowers" know that T-shirts and boots in a space-faring, high-technology setting evolved over 3000 years into......T-shirts and boots....

Clothes are clothes, dude. And we're playing a Star Wars game. Get a grip.

In 3000 years, I guarantee someone will be wearing a pair of pants with *gasp* POCKETS!! And I also guarantee that in 3000 years someone will still be wearing *GASP* a long-sleeve shirt....

Stand up from your computer and go take a break. Then sit back down at your computer to play Star Wars. I think that'll give you some perspective on exactly what you're saying. Because it sounds like you think the T-shirt would have fundamentally changed over 3000 years. Thus you think there should not be any T-shirts in Star Wars TOR because Han Solo wore one in the movies and that takes place 3000 years later

.......Maybe an F-shirt for cyborgs who have 2-arms on the same side? Would that be better for you? 3000 years before the Death Star, everyone wore F-shirts because the T-shirt hadn't been invented yet. There you go: your logic, not mine.

Give me a break and let people live....we play this game because we love Star Wars. There's literally no reason the game should actively look to break the visual appeal of Star Wars........in fact there are 1000 good reasons not to, or in TOR's case, 1.5 million.....

Actually I think the majority of recent changes, including F2P and the market are a result of them finally beginning to listen, not the opposite.

I believe that what we see today is driven by those that criticized the game from launch until now and they finally relented.

Actually, since most of gear is modable, you can have almost any look in game (from total clown, to epic, going through classic look).

I hate some of the new (and old) "high end" gear since i don't think they look ..... (jedi, sith, trooper..... whichever your class is), but that doesn't mean i can't find the "look" i want for them.

Game has another troubles (balance between classes, pvp/pve content, perfomance,....) that needs to be taken into account, but "Looks" isn't in them.

But he is a member of "people who pay to play this game," as am I. If you don't like the current looks of gear, that's your business. But your "SW fanboi cred" makes your opinion no more (and no less) valuable that that of any other paying customer. You say you want better Jedi gear, I point you to Relnex' outfit. You say that's not good enough, I say "Oh, well."

You want your Jedi characters to look like characters from the movies? Is that the extent of your creativity?

I don't need to be creative .. this world as already been done created for me. But thank you for your response ... of meaningless nothings. There isn't a skin set I haven't tried. Still, my point and want stands. Because not one of the sets whether it be earned or bought from the CM comes close to what has already been set for Jedi's to wear. Jedi don't need armor. I'm pretty sure in Ep 1-3 as multiple Jedi were AT WAR I did not see one of them in actual armor. No, they wore cloth. And leather boots .. to the knees. It's actually part of known Jedi attire. I didn't have to make it up on my own, because the symbol and world itself was made for me to enjoy for what it is and should be. This game lacks that. It's been a complaint not by just me .. but countless others on the forums/in game as a community at large.

Your trying too hard IMO.

I think asking for more traditional looks for Jedi is not a bad thing. It would be nice. Seems to me, though, being combative is not exactly helping your case.

I don't think anything can top the columi/tonese consular gear. The hat was priceless.

lolololol

And yes, the Jedi robes are way too tightly fitted. But I think that is a technical problem on BWs part. Although there were better Jedi robes in KOTOR 2... so I don't understand why it's so hard to make them for SWTOR.

I get the impression that they just don't have enough devs working on the game right now. This would explain why everything is taking too damned long.

With all the money coming in from the cartel market, one would think they'd be able to bring on more devs to make some major improvements to the game's engine. If they did, we could have a more stable game with far more options in the way gear can be designed.

Oh, and what really bugs me is how they now keep making new sent and guardian gear look exactly alike. Just doesn't make sense to me how in the **** medium armour can look exactly the same as heavy armour. The heavy armour could at least have some more armouring on it. Hell, the end game gear we had at launch at least came with some variation between each of the classes. Now there is none.

All classes could do with better gear options. I also think they should stop trying to make it so jedi and sith have the exact same gear options available to them like they happen to be doing with the CM and legacy vendors.

Then to top it off...everything else that followed. They were told the current sets of armor looked nothing like star wars... so they introduced this crap.

Tee hee...It's the condom hat which is still in the game. I've seen it on the GTN.

Hai, the WH BH gear actually looks good and was a big improvement over the previous end game gear. Their BH/campaign gear is the fugly set. Also, c'mon, you know it's fun looking like a swamp monster.

Ah the dread masters...Wonder what they did with their original helmets.

It looks positively idiotic...so I will never own this armour, because it looks only less idiotic on a female toon, (my opinon) but I think you can see what I'm getting at.
For Sion's chest piece, they used the design from Star Wars: Force Unleashed

http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m8...a4lo1_1280.png

They just ****ed up the look by not having the shoulder pad flat against the shoulder and making it over sized. They also made the flaps that's over the pants too large and stick out too far.

The other problem is; Pants in this game are skin tight where as Sion's pants are very baggy.

Oh, and just a fyi, the jedi masters in KoToR 2 happened to be wearing robes that look very similar to the ones jedi happened to be wearing 4000 years later.
No plans for PvP...So, I have no plans to invest anymore money into this game.

I remember this stuff, lol. I'm still waiting for a bunch of people to get that cone head armour and dye it white, and make inappropriate remarks about race. That's what that cone head outfit reminded me of...

I get creative and build armor sets using different pieces and colors. I am very happy with the many, many options we have and the GTN provides endless options using adaptive gear.
