Ah...so your answer is no, you have no proof, you're guessing. I liked the sub version of the tauntaun too, I hope they do more of that stuff in the future! But they said they'd have a *gift*...did you get one for free or something? I thought the tauntaun was released to promote new mounts...

I don't really need anything from them for being a sub. If they choose to do things then cool. But I don't feel entitled to receiving anything special for it. They give me free coins a month. I don't use them, but it is still something. Devs do all they can to get the word out on things. The only other thing is to send a bright pink message that takes over your screen once you log on and you have to click a check box that says I have read this and then type in your character name. I really don't think that would fly over to well with people

I don't know any other game that does this for customer appreciation. The biggest way to show it, to me anyways, would just keep adding great and fun new content.

Then when player base dropped off and went f2p the subs started to demand MORE for their sub simply because they subbed. Even though for them the game never changed and should be content playing as they were (outside the demand for new content an the CE). Fast forward and suddenly subs stuff doesn't stink, and what we DO get is NEVER good enough, it TAKES too LONG , is the wrong color, or is only available from the CM.
I see your point here although I feel you are mistaken on some parts.
The major issue I have here is that in day 1 there was the promise of continued class stories, companion story arcs and more. However when the game went f2p we've been told no new class storys and companion story arcs, heck they aint even working on a new class. This for me personally means that what we had on day 1 has changed and we had the promise of these yet their gone and the subscription remains the same despite how much they have shelved because of the f2p move.

Uh... Yeah? I'm guessing. I'm not them. And for free? Yeah, I was defending nests. To me a gift doesn't have to be a free item I claim through the mail. Putting the, IMO, better looking version of a mount on a special vendor just for subs could definitely be a gift in my eyes. The important part IMO is that they made subscribers feel appreciated. That's not failing to deliver.

There may have been a "subscriber" tauntaun, but there was also a tauntaun for everyone else only difference was color.

Here is a suggestion for subscriber gifts: Why not have the gift be unique and only available to subs. This gift could not be obtained via cartel market, subs cannot trade but can vendor if they choose not to keep it, is not a re-skin of a discontinued item. Something that can be useful, unlike the fireworks. That way it shows that BW actually took some time and created a thoughtful gift.

A cartel coin gift is like buying a gift card for your secret santa party. It comes across as "Hey, I completely forgot about the gift so I just grabbed this while in the grocery store check out line." Granted, some people did enjoy the gift, but many others like myself were wondering ***.

I notice the word "entitled" getting thrown around a lot. The OP and many others are not acting entitled. Entitled is all these celebs that get away with murder and not get as much as a slap on the wrist. How long did Paris, Lindsey, Amanda... get away with DUI's, hitting paparazzo with their cars, flashing their cooters in public? Most of the griefers here are people who pay for a product and are displeased with some aspects and stating such. If anything, BW is acting more entitled than the forum users.

The problem they have with things like that is their trying not to make f2p players look like second class players meaning the chances of something like this happening are incredibly small. That being said it would be nice to stand out as a sub.

BW is already working on that. I know its small but soon F2P are going to be able to do unlimited WZ. Also with F2P the restrictions are there to help convince F2P to sub. Maybe a useful cool sub gift would help nudge F2P to sub, therefore bringing in more money.

I have seen the restrictions I also know that many of the people in the game have gotten around these with all the unlocks from the gtn and are able to bypass the escrow limits as well.

I wish this were true however the last few days on my server has been nothing but complaining by the f2p players that they cant send mail when told just buy the smallest amount of cartel coins and ull be able to the general reponse is Why should I spend money?
If people arent willing to spend a small one off payment to make their qol while playing the game a lot better I dont think theyll spend it on a cosmetic item, what Bioware needs to do is realise that the level cap is 55 and push all new content including events for level 55 as this is the best way to get the f2p players to at least get the expansion and become preferred also injecting more money into the game.
