No silly. He was presenting a case where the customer in fact was not right. You admit it yourself in your response.. Fod revolutionized transportation in the face of customers demanding they be allowed to keep their horse an buggy.

Someone foolishly made an absolute statement that the customer is always right.. no matter what. That's low hanging fruit in a discussion.. because you only need one example to invalidate an absolute. Which was the purpose of the Henry Ford quote.

Your both wrong because "The customer is always right" is a figure of speech.

And in that example the customer was right. He wanted a faster horse. If henry ford came out with a faster horse he would have sold it to the customer

Gotcha! I'd agree with that.

Exactly. So the customer was right. I don't know what the argument here is. If you make products the public doesn't want, they don't buy it and you go bankrupt. Its a pretty simple idea that Andryah and others are arguing against perhaps just to argue. When BW/EA does not listen to their customers, they leave. Simple as that.

My point was actually that customers don't articulate their needs well.

They didn't want a faster horse, they wanted to get from A to B quicker.

Unfortunately, customers in this game DO articulate their needs well. 3D Space Combat, Guild Ships, Class Balance, Bug Fixes, Clipping issues on armor, The list can go on...

Across the forums as a whole. No, they really really don't.

Unfortunately.. it's some customers.. NOT all customers. There is a lot of unreasonable and uninformed customer demands in this forum.. and I think you know that. I wish there were not.. as it would make everyone's life easier.. but it is what it is.

Don't see a single need on that list.
