Hi everyone,

I'm completely new to the game, and my highest level char is a 22 Jugg.

I've made a merc BH, and love their versatility.. they seem to be good at both single-target damage, but also AOE.

The one thing I can't figure out, and which is causing me some serious problems, is managing the heat. I don't know if it's a rotation issue or what it is.. but as a level 13 merc, I can't even solo ONE of the mandalorian elite's in the Kregg heroic.... Heat is the reason why.. the guns overheat, I use the vent thingie, and then I run into heat again.. and at this time.. the elite isn't dead... which basically means I'm screwed.

So with that said, can someone give me some hints on that, as well as a link to a good levelling build (I prefer arsenal over pyro)

Thanks.

Use more rapid shots!

If you notice as your heat goes up the regen goes down. There are 4 arrows that when full give you max regen but go down as your heat increases.

When you arrow dips to 3 arrows, rapid shot a few times before casting again. If it gets to 2 arrows, if you can help it, continue to rapid shot until it at least gets back to 3 before using any ability that costs heat.
When the arrows dip below 2 or you're at 2 and have to use an ability that costs heat, use one of your 2 heat managing abilities at that point, followed by a long cast ability. This should get you back to 3 arrows or better.

I'm a healer so these tips might not apply so well for dps rotation, but it works quite well for me.

Yea, one major drawback of the class. If you can use the benifits of heavy armor, massive DPS and off-healing, you learn to adapt your playstyle and moves...

I try to use rapid shots while running. Not only am I constantly adding damage but Im reducing my heat.

We get one power that costs no heat to 1 ability. I usually hit that before a Fusion Missle or Death from above. Whatever you have that costs alot of heat, does massive damage and is off cool down...

Be careful not to over extend your moves. Its easy to get carried awaya nd blast an enemy.

Take your time and space out your heavy damage abilities. Sprinkling in rapid shots while you run...

Practice . And patience... Have fun, man!

At level 13 your talent pool is very shallow the best way to approach it would be make sure you have a med pack and do not spam the same ability over and over try to open with missile blast fallowed with sticky dart, auto attack, unload so on and so forth.
when you get up higher in your tree you'll get more of your talents that make things cost less heat. Stick with it.

Worst comes to worst do some PVP even if you don't like it at your level its a great quick way to level up and you could just out level the mob and blow him to hell!
