Tank companions

Out of curiosity what are your tanks item level gear... They are not a problem at all due to efficiency... In fact, if I down mobs too quickly I pull out my tank which is already capped in absorption and shield rating. He rarely goes down with 63 item slots and all 69/72. It all depends on what you would consider efficiency. To be honest I would have to assume that your tank either not capped or geared for the level its required to tank...

I agree with the OP. Tanking companions are almost always less efficient then other types of companions making them irrelevant. Its crazy to me people are arguing with you about it. Some people are even going to the point of wasting a crew skills slot (biochem) just for the sole purpose of using a tanking companion? So rather than BW putting a little buff to out of combat healing you think choosing a crew skill specifically for tanking companions is the better option? I wouldn't waste your time with them, they clearly don't want to listen to a thing you're saying. Its amazing to me the lengths people go to ignore any and all possible improvements to this game.

Mount and unmount, or dismiss and summon. You're welcome.

Isn't that more of a workaround than a solution.
I have to agree with OP that tanks are a bit inefficient compared to healers or dps.

Clearly what the OP wants is tanks(just tanks) with infinite health or super regain both in and out of combat..... It is all about efficiency and everyone knows this is the only efficient way.

Tank companions are subpar. They are viable if you gear them right but fighting has always gone smoother with a damage dealer or healer comp at my side.

Perhaps make your self heal, heal them up many times faster than it does yourself. Or give them out of combat health regen that brings their health to full in a couple second.

The problem isnt that they are dying to a single enemy. It is that the player is forced to either 1. heal them manually using healing abilities during combat, 2. dismiss/let them die and resummon them, 3. using your out of combat self heal or 4. mount up and dismount to bring their health to full. Hitting 3 or more enemies without doing one of these methods, means a dead companion.
if your having this problem, then you doing something WRONG .. Far as healing up faster , rocket boots or mount then unmount .. 100% health , can't get any faster then that. Or if you can't mount "or don't have rocket boots" dismiss and recall tank . No change is needed , you just need to learn how this game works .

all the tanks I've used don't take that much damage if I have them geared right . But if your tank is taking to much damage to fast , you might be fighting to many mobs for it to handle or you are to slow a dps "bad rotation etc"

The OP has already said it is not fast enough for her anything more than 2 seconds in not efficient.

Also op to give tank comps this kind of healing then you have to give them all it cause I have had to heal my dps comp before and according to you that's just not efficient.

That has been my experience as well. I generally role with a DPS on my tanks and healers, and a healer on my DPSers. I have used tanks before, but while they do work, they are far less efficient than DPS and healer companions (given same gear level).

That said, I do use a couple of tank companions just because I happen to like them. Like Blizz.

Same level gear tanks are less efficient than dps and healers.
