Also there is a story arch on Oricon coming in 2.4 that will explain the reasons for their actions

The answer is quite simply, people just have different opinions.

Anyway, that's not the point. This is like the early 2000s when all of the car companies started making crap cars. Their excuse: everyone else is doing it. Someone sets a low standard that can be achieved cheaply and quickly and everyone else comes running behind like a pack of lemmings with dollar signs in their eyes. Meanwhile, the customer gets repeatedly screwed.
It's a game. No one is "screwed" unless they choose to be. No one has to do dailies. No one has to play the game. If it's not to your liking, you can always stop.

That way it feels like the dailies have an impact on the environment and not just static assignments.
Isn't that already happening with the dailies giving reputation? I know it is not unlocking the vendors but it is unlocking what they sell.

Put me down as mediocre for dailies. they give me something to do while waiting for my friends to come online.

If its not your thing then don't do them. I don't mind them. Sometimes I enjoy them. Sometimes I don't. But I understand the necessity of them.

You don't like them fine. But don't insult other people because they have different opinions about it.

Get over it. It is better in some ways, it is WORSE in other ways. BUT this *IS* a wow clone. like every other mmo that has a "hotbar", spell casting or cooldowns or a GCD or quests. the only thing different is the icon and and the animation.

press b
b shows a cast bar
cast bar done
apply effect.

wow, swtor, 10,000 korean mmos, ddo, nwnmmo etc...

weather this is a blaster, a heal, stun or porting to the city. it is all the same. it juts looks a ton better than wow.

The problem is players are treating it like you can only have one or the other. Not many are going to give up what they know for something uncertain.

The crusade to remove dailies is misplaced, instead there should be a crusade for additional alternate content.

Because WoW is the first game with all those features! Oh wait...

TOR is a theme park game. Would you go into the EVE forums and say "EVE needs more theme park?"

Choosing to play what you know is a heavy theme park MMO and then complaining it's too theme park-y is kinda silly.

All of these were what I call GREAT CONTENT not decent and with 2.4 we are getting

Ranked Season 1
A New Planet Oricon with storyline
2 New Operations
Arenas

That sounds like substantial content to me.

If this is not what you call content then maybe this isn't hte game for you
Honestly I couldn't give a crap about the tauntauns, and they seem to very much be hit-or-miss in general. They're utterly whack as Imperial mounts IMO but I know there's a new addition coming so that's no biggie.

The new daily areas are boring and the laggiest areas yet to be introduced. The new FPs aren't utterly amazing either, just tank and spanks with dire mechanics that will mess up your skull if anyone's off.

Makeb I feel was well-written, so that I enjoyed, and the additional items you can get through the binoculars and seeker droids. +1 for that. It is buggy in places, but I can deal with that.

2.3, however, was letdown city, and aside from the single item acquired from the first weekly it's meh. Ewoks and tauntauns can stay where they belong: ESB and RotJ. Soon we'll have pandas... oh, wait...

To be fair, if they had a Treek customization with the "evil" looking Ewok fur pattern then he wouldn't seem so silly for Imps, but just not feeling it as is.

More things along the lines of Makeb's main story arc would be great, because the daily quests are just a grind: speed past mobs, kill these guys, go to drop box. BOOOORRRR-ing.
