Is Bounty Week being Postponed?

Well I came home to get some play time in and turns out the servers are down until 3am my time.....awesome....so once again, no play time tonight, but instead of opening at 9 or 10pm its nothing, this time its a consolidation that somehow requires 12 hours from now to do

guess ill just go to bed at 3 pm, not all that much to do on a Tuesday.

They had the 13th as the target date in earlier announcements:

I made the same mistake and planned for it to start Tuesday. When the patch notes hit it was already too late to change plans. I hope it will also end Wednesday since the patch notes say it will continue for 7 days.

But it's a recurring event, so it's not really an issue. Just a case of "best laid plans..."

Every month one week from Wednesday to Wednesday. Probably every 3rd week every Month, since the event starts 3rd week this month.

Actually, you can't. The completed contracts are BoP and cannot be traded between legacy.

That means that if you do the 1 henchmen contract each day on a character, you can get your first kingpin contract on day 5 (Sunday). Kingpin contracts also give you a completed contract, so as of day 5 you can earn 2 completed contracts per day. That means that on day 7 (Tuesday) you'll have another 5 contracts (5th day kingpin, and the kingpin and henchmen from days 6 and 7).

Again, the contract are (as of the test sever info I've read) bind-on-pickup and cannot be sent between your characters.

It was always a target date, not an exact date. And really, why would they do it on a different day of the week than every other event they have done so far?

Also I am not sure if you even read the rest of the thread or not, but no one is really complaining all that much. We are mostly just kinda confused as to why they would make this change.

Don't you think that if Bioware could tell us when it starts they could tell us when it ends in the same paragraph? Yes.... And an explanation in that same paragraph as to why the change from the usually start times?

But that seems to difficult for them to do.

I guess it depends on timing. If it starts on Wednesday and goes 7 days, that means it runs through Tuesday. Best guess is that it ends early Wednesday morning (Austin time).

I'm almost surprised that this thread is still a thing. Almost. They've said it will start tomorrow and they are probably working a really long *cough cough winded cough* post about it and how it will work, when it will end, when it might return etc.

We might even get those details today if we're lucky.

If you think for 5 seconds the answer to the change is obvious. The server consolidations are currently taking place that they planned for this date today and announced weeks/months ago. The server consolidations are taking some people/servers almost all day to complete. If they started it today they would have to screw over all the people currently in limbo on the transfer and they'd miss a day. However that will all be completed by tomorrow.

Now to predict other non thinking questions.

1. Why didn't they do the server consolidations yesterday?

A. Because it required a downtime of server and no matter what they have downtime on tuesdays and the event does not require downtime. So if they did it yesterday the server would be down yesterday. Today. And people would still start the event late.

2. When will it end? The they pre-announced the date of the event and that it would run like normal for 7 days but since I didn't read I assumed it would start today which means they could be lieing about the 7 days.

A. No. Just because you didn't read doesn't mean they didn't say it. it will end next wed.

3. But this means that they owe me 6 months sub for planning for it today because they promised. This game ***** because they do nothing but promise and lie and i'm unsubbing and am mad bro.

A. They never promised. They gave a target date which ended with "as always these things could change. And then on monday of last week they posted patch notes with a date. That's 9 days to prepare.
