Dailies are one of those Love-Hate aspects of any MMO.

I love them because:
1) Great and dependable source of ingame creds should I need them (OPs repairs, stuff on GTN)
2) Once you get to know them, you can do them quickly and without much hassle (a few hours to do them all)
3) Nice way, with weekly awards, to get Comms for end-game gear without having to be super dedicated to regular OPs
4) With the Rep rewards (which seem rather week for most the Reps in this game), it can provide a sense of accomplishment

I hate the because:
1) They get boring fast.
2) Once highest Rep level is obtained, not much use for them except ingame creds
3) Once enough comms are acquired, not much use for them.

They are with us and I doubt that will change.

Funny, considering when this game launched, all I ever saw were threads asking for WoW features and condemning all the features WoW doesn't have.

Thanks for the bipolarity, Gamers!

SWTOR isn't copying wow. Wow has vareity and choice in their dailies. They've moved forward. SWTOR is stuck in 2009.

This.

However camping for special events like dragon awakening in GW2 ain't fun either and is very time-taking, too. What would you recommend?

WoW has 9 years worth of content and development. That's the "variety and choice" there. If you expect SWTOR to just come up with 8 years worth of additional content within the next six months, you have zero clue how realty works. And even if by some miracle they do actually implement 8 years of content, WoW will already be like 5 years ahead anyway.

Pointless, really.

I have posted several suggestions in the suggestion box thread I linked in the original post. Have a look.

I don't have a problem with the dailies. It's quick credits.

If you don't like them, don't do them.

??? Its called one game is 10 years old and the other is only 1 year old. Also I would disagree that SWTOR doesn't have a variety of dailies already.
Unsubscribed due to no new Operations.
I am happy that there will be a renewed focus on story, I love story, its why I picked this MMO. But I picked an MMO, not an episodic single player RPG that I have to pay a subscription to receive the episodes.

As long as they are optional, I don't really care. Some days I do them. Some days I don't. Just as long as they are optional, not like WoWs style where they are essential to getting anything done. Also, name any modern MMO without dailies. Believe it or not, some people like them. Gives them something to do each day.
Do or do not. There is no try

APB Reloaded? Guess that depends on what you see as modern.

Anyway, that's not the point. This is like the early 2000s when all of the car companies started making crap cars. Their excuse: everyone else is doing it. Someone sets a low standard that can be achieved cheaply and quickly and everyone else comes running behind like a pack of lemmings with dollar signs in their eyes. Meanwhile, the customer gets repeatedly screwed.

Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's okay.
