I don't personally have any technical problems with SWTOR. Its really strange how SWTOR really doesn't like some other people's computers, even though like one of the guys above has a rig that is overkill.

I wonder if maybe the people with bad setups are the root cause of most of the grumbling in the game? Maybe all the really dissatisfied people are the ones who under-perform in raids because their internet connection sucks, then they start getting kicked for non-performance and they blame the group leaders for being elitist and start down a dark path.

Sorry, but you can't rebuild a game that works for 95% of people just because you want to play with a Pentium 2 computer.
Thinking about subbing? Use this link to help us both out http://www.swtor.com/r/3txb7F

Not in my experience. Seems to be more urban legend, or the thing to say then anything else.

I've had at least 20 tickets put in, Every last one of them were answered and resolved promptly. Twice I deleted characters by mistake. First was resolved in one day. Second was restored within hours, on a weekend morning. I"ve reported item dupers, credit sellers and all disappear shortly after the report is submitted.

Had to call them once, the "I had to wait on the phone for five hours and they told me too bad" statement we often read here was not my experience at all. Call picked up in about 2 mins. Five mins speaking to a line employee, 2 mins with the second tier individual and my 500 cc were sent to me.

In regard to the OP, some of it is hyperbole, some legitimate issues, none of it game breaking.....but they should start putting some time into handling these issues I think.
May the Schwartz be with you....

Honestly, I'm running a 6 year old computer that still has xp on it (not had time to build a new one) and I'm not experiencing many of the issues I see here, but I keep my drivers updated, do not visit questionable web sites etc. I have more then most, but nothing game breaking and I raid on three chars, both 8 and 16 man, current content where one must be on target to succeed and am able to just turn down graphics and have no issue.

I'm not saying that the issues do not exist, but that keeping a clean machine, setting graphics correctly for the encounter, a good connection does help greatly.

The crashes to desktop, lag spikes and zooming out when you ride a taxi are known problems acknowledged by the devs. Saying any of the following.....

1) I have never had a CTD in this game
2) Lag spikes are your problem, I have never had a lag spike
3) I have never been zoomed out when I got off a taxi. This problem does not exist

is at best misleading, at worst dishonest. I will concede that it is possible, but not likely, that you are not experiencing a problem that has been recognized by Bioware as a problem with the game and it's design (they are likely working on fixing all of these issues).

But I think it's more likely the folks that claim this type of thing is not happening to them are being dishonest IMO.

I also think that the people who claim such and such have never had it happen to them and therefore the problem doesn't exist truly don't understand what the problem is so more than likely when the issue does occur, they fail to recognize it for what it is.

You guys want to see a working example of an ability failing to fire? I am a biochem and I have the purple lvl 55 stims unlocked. I can use the stim about 3 to 4 times in a row by repeatedly clicking it before it will fail to execute and cause a global cooldown without applying it's effect. The problems are real and they are there even if some of you do not believe them.

Also do you use keybinds and spam them when coming out of cooldown, or do you click?

OP apparently doesn't wish to listen to anyone that isn't agreeing with every point he has, and that includes me as I have minimal technical issues playing SWTOR.

But no OP, clearly it must be entirely the game, your biased subjective opinion must clearly be correct because otherwise you might be wrong.

- The worst lag of any game I've ever played
- More glitches than any game I've ever played
- The worst customer service of any game I've ever played
- More DCs than any game I've ever played
- Key moves that don't work unless you press them twice, often giving a partial, epileptic start to a move without actually executing it (rapes your dps for dps fans)
- The great "no moves will work this time" glitch where all moves do the same as the above and you can literally get destroyed by a protocol droid because you can't fight or defend yourself until after you've reset back at the med center, costing you hundreds of thousands of credits throughout the course of the game that could be spent towards gear.
- 30%+ miss rate on certain skills even with over 100% accuracy
- No functional auto target feature
- No regularly functional "Target Nearest Enemies" feature (most of the time I'll pick up a target off the screen and have to re-target multiple times just to attack the add that's standing right next to me)
- Having to manually click on most of your targets
- Camera zooming way in or way out every time you get off your ship, an elevator, or a taxi
- Extremely impatient people and quitters in HM flash points.
- Getting stuck with gear you couldn't possibly need on HM flash points (I'm a sentinel who regularly gets willpower gear - never anything with strength or the stats that would actually benefit my toon)

And this list could go on but I'll stop here because I'm obviously a masochistic glutton for punishment who keeps spending countless hours, every single day, playing a game that I have a terrible love/hate relationship with and that is, in many ways, the worst game I've ever played. #endofrantandyesitfeltgoodtosayallthat
It seems like most of your issues could be fixed by upgrading your PC/internet or simply pressing the tab key in game.
Unsubscribed due to no new Operations.
I am happy that there will be a renewed focus on story, I love story, its why I picked this MMO. But I picked an MMO, not an episodic single player RPG that I have to pay a subscription to receive the episodes.

i agree with this. I have a laundry list of issues i have with many aspects of SWTOR the game, and SWTOR the forum. Nothing like the illogical conclusions raised by some of this games white-knights.

However, even with the issues, I still play, and love SWTOR. I have played many MMOs, and SWTOR is my favorite. I support the game with a sub, and MANY CM purchases. I do believe the game is finally moving in the right direction, even with the CM .

I certaintly give BW some props for listening to those that bring up issues, and pretty much ignoring the few white-knights. Innovation comes from trial and error and if BW was constantly told how great they are, then nothing would ever change, and they wouldnt understand the error part of the equation nearly as well as they do. Prime example, Eric saying that the datacubes in packs was not going to continue based on negative customer feedback. This is an accomplishment that the white-knight can never achieve. If you are ever in the position of responsibility in a company, then you know exactly what im talking about. There is nothing worse than have a management team full of "yes-men" or "yes-women". It will literally destroy your business. Anyhow...

Good job BW, keep us moving ahead please. And a huge thanks for those of you that take the time, to write your negative posts, you are indeed the ones that make this engine run. Seriously, thank you.
