I'm not wasting cartel coins on a hypercrate. Besides, buying cartel coins is a waste of good money.

I guess it depends on the server. And the coms probably works for those who are more experienced but thus far, I cant say its had an impact.

Regarding prices, I have a technique I use to ensure that prices don't get stupid and 95% of the time it works. Cant reveal it, or I will just give away a top secret

Yeah, I imagine that's part of it - that and I haven't really tried it since the planetary changes, since that's how I gear my characters, but not everyone might be doing the same.
Thanks for showing us you listen to our feedback, Bioware!

Suggestion for letting us add certain story characters to our Strongholds.

Don't listen to people telling you to go into gathering to sell mats. They're prolly the crafters that buy it and then sell the end products for vastly bigger profit margains.

Farming a stack of 99 for 40k credits, you're much better off running black hole for 150k+.

Here's the thing.

Get alts, train them up in slicing. Run the 2 relevant tech parts missions on them around the clock and use the purple stuff from crits to make augments. One mission gives 4 purples per crit and the other 2. Cost of these missions is 3.7 - 3.8k per run (and 1.2h of time, hence "get more alts")

An augment costs 4 of these purples and 2/2 of base scavenging/archeology mats + 2 of the flux a vendor sells for 600 credits a pop (that's also best grinded for in archeology missions).

That augments sell for 100k+ a piece. And if you crit at crafting you get 2. Occasionally the undercutting makes it dip into the 90k area but that doesn't last long.

If you got your perks and affection with companions maxed plus use the +critical slicing companions for the missions you will have a very healthy crit rate. Same with crafting. Now do the math. One crit craft will bankroll your operation for 50 slicing missions. Not even Edward Aloysius Murphy is unlucky enough to not get a handsome profit worth of purples out of that. You'll be swimming in credits in a week and the hardest thing about it is that you have to stare at the load screen as you alt hop a couple time a day. THAT is low effort. Not farming mats all day for peanuts.

Can you make money at it? Sure. A lot of money / achieve a level of wealth that you don't need to worry about buying that trinket? Not a chance. Watch your brain melt out your ears because you're doing mind-numbingly dull things for way too much time per day? Absolutely.
BS.. I have made well over 22 million credits the last year running dailies alone. I have made another 3 to 5 million selling mats and another 2 to 4 million selling items I have made. Of course I don't have that much now since I spent a ton on upgrading my gear on several of my alts. But it is rather easy to make millions on dailies alone.

Maybe if you didn't delete 3 lvl 55's you would have money? Why would you do that anyhow?

Regardless, like peeps have been saying run daily missions. Black hole, Section X, Belsavis, CZ-198 net a good amount of credits.

Gathering Skills while you are out in the field gather and make aug kits they sell for like 70k (the highest lvl ones).

Slicing is a good one because you can find credit boxes out in the world (credits inside zero effort to get).

Sell all green gear to vendor. All Blue on GTN.

People also make money using the GTN buying items wrongly priced and reselling. I have actually found stacks of 99 mats that are priced lower than what the vendor buys them for. Buy and vendor profit boom.
But you do have to be purty savvy to do so, which maybe impossible for you ;P

Overall its not hard to make money in this game if you just listen to what people are saying. And the amount of credits you wasted lvl'n up toons then deleting them wasn't to bright. You would have the money np.

Wow, you made 22 million credits in a year? All that in a year? Congratulations!

I do that in a week. And I don't run dailies. Ever.

Like I said, yes, you can make money doing dailies. Just like you can make money working in a factory IRL. Me, I choose to play the role of investment banker / corporate mogul.

But by all means, keep doing what you're doing. We corporate moguls do need plenty of grunt workers out there in the daily mission factory farms creating credits to be funneled up to us. Thanks!

Where did I say that is the only thing I do? I craft, I play the GTN game etc. I gave you specific answers and glad you made more then me. I don't have all that much time to game. I have a 50 hour a week job, two kids, a house to take care of (inside and out). In other words I have a LIFE outside of a game.

Bro, I was just responding to your post calling BS on my refuting your post that grinding dailies is a great way to make money.

It's not.

If you like grinding dailies, more power to you.

But as I have stated repeatedly, and your anecdotal evidence supported, grinding dailies is the factory job of SWTOR. Yep you'll make money, but not a lot and it's going to take a lot of time.

But if you like doing them so what. I love doing the dailies because I just love blowing crap up. I would even welcome them adding a couple hundred more dailies to the game just so we have more of a choice.
