Maybe they do something about it someday, maybe not. It's cosmetic and hence not likely to get priority resources, other then to remove capes entirely... so careful what you wish for. Personally, I'l take a little cape eccentricity in the worlds physics over having capes shortened or removed to eliminate the problem. Besides... there are many many things in this game that violate the interactions of characters and game physics. This one is a minor annoyance at worst IMO.
I understand what you are saying here. Its not crisis, but again, removing capes is akin to me telling a customer to put a table over that broken tile because its only one. :P Will they fix it? I would guess not. Would they fix it if it caused a mass migration away from the game? absolutely, so its not a matter of ability, but motivation. If they hear about it from enough players, it will work towards that end. If we all "just deal with it" it never will.

And yes... unless/until something is done about it.... from a strictly pragmatic perspective.... you either cope with it or you fail to cope with it. The choice is yours to make.
Or you make a suggestion and go through proper channels in an attempt to affect change.....while being told you need professional help for doing so. LOL

Occe again you are employing logical fallacy of mind projection extrapolating your personal opinion as fact and reality, and you are using a very poor idiom to do so. "Spitting into the wind" would be more applicable to a monumental undertaking that was basically thought of as impossible. This is far from that, as is the effort involved to write a single paragraph in support of anothers opinion.

If you are unhappy with the way TOR treats you, there are other MMOs waiting for your business. Take my business elsewhere is what I would do if I were unhappy with a vendor, rather than beat my head against a wall telling them how it "should" be.
Reductio ad absurdum. You are taking great pains to create a scenario that does not exist in this situation and my "condition". In short, making up both sides of the discussion so as to support a very weak ad hominem by going right to "attacking the speaker rather then the idea".

You should probably stop now. ;p

If people don't like something... or feel it's a bug that needs fixing.. /bug report it in game.. that way it gets logged and perhaps addressed somewhere down the road. If you want something the game does not offer... suggestion forum is the place to go. Constantly complaining in general forum however does nothing accept invite people to present the realities of pragmatism to you.
Like you, I get accused of being unable to find fault with the game, but there are plenty of things I'd like to see changed: GTN sort by unit price, more things from the CM a la carte rather than in packs, dyable items with 2 slots (primary and secondary), AC change (which we disagree on). But overall, I like the game or I wouldn't pay for it. No game is perfect. And at the end of the day, it is just a game. But, hey, it's their dime and if they enjoy "pay to complain," they're welcome to do that. But we're just as free to say "Chill out, dude, it's just a game."

Stop "spitting into the wind friend".

Sorry, but you walked right into that face first. ;p

You are spitting into the wind. You are complaining about a trivial problem in a computer game and your complaints here are going to accomplish nothing, and do or should know that. Sure, you are free to let it bother you, but why? Do you get some enjoyment out of being annoyed (however minor that annoyance may be) by something which is of no importance whatsoever? I use this a lot: would you get upset about having to be the dog token in Monopoly rather than the car token? In terms of "what matters," that dilemma is on a par with "cape clipping" in TOR. That's the kind of thing young children get upset about. Are you a young child?

You need to look up "reductio ad absurdum." You are expressing dissatisfaction with some aspect of TOR. Either you choose to overlook it and deal with or you don't. If you don't, you have options. You are exercising one of those options now: impotently complaining about it on the forums. Another option, if it gets to the point where you just can't take it any more, is to move on to another game. I suppose there are other options, as well. But none of them is "Precipitate change by complaining on the forums."

If I got enjoyment out of being annoyed, I would continue to participate in this grade school debate where "facts" are randomly pulled out of thin air, and name calling is the order of the day.

Though I'm done arguing this adolescent nonsense, you should go back and re-read (or perhaps read for the first time) what I actually wrote as you seem to have made up both sides of this scenario in an attempt to do little more then insult and besmirch another poster based on, once again, your own (and incorrect) assumptions and beliefs (fallacy of mind projection), and are now reducing it down to name calling.

so you have yourself a great day. ;p

Perhaps you can take a step back from your recent diatribe and tell us why this needs to be corrected. Would it be nice? Sure. Needs? Not so much.

because BioWare likes to hide behind "Clipping Issues" in regards to defending there not being certain races as playable in the game.

but when it comes to their taking your real cash for an in game item they don't care....there's clipping issues all over almost every item you equip in the CM..and they don't care.

Capes do all kinds of things in game. I love it when they float up past your head in free float when you are going down on a elevator.
you really are just a blind defender aren't you.

there's no excuse for it. BioWare (your personal gods) could easily address it if they just took the time to do so.

they're too busy making new CM items to care.

You're funny.

Wrong.. but funny none the less.
When you find yourself surrounded by hostile Clowns... always go for the "Juggler" first.
