Exactly.

OP...... physics in game. It is what it is. Cope with it, or don't wear caped gear IMO.

Capes do all kinds of things in game. I love it when they float up past your head in free float when you are going down on a elevator.

This sadly. I'd kill for capes to "disappear" while using certain vechicals / mounts.

This disappointment has been echoed ad infinitum by player after player. The robe issue on mounts needs to be corrected.
May the Schwartz be with you....

I would contend that this is unacceptable, no more or less then any bug, problem in a game or anywhere else in any retail situation. They, and not us, need to deal with this and correct the issue.

Sure, it'd be nice if they fixed every minor, annoying triviality, but what're you gonna do if they don't? There are many changes I'd like to see made to the game. But overall the game is worth my time and money to play despite those, in my view, shortcomings. You'll be much happier if you, as Andryah said, just cope. It's just a game, not a visit to the ER.

Here, have a lookiee...

Surely there's a better fix than just uncrossing the legs. I love the character the crossed legs bring. My sith is wearing a top and pants, so she doesn't have this issue on the preview window, but I do understand the frustration. I'd just hate to lose the character of the pose.

Can you please produce your certification in either social work or psychiatry before telling me what will and will not make me much happier? ;p

I'm quite happy with the extent of the game that I participate in. Suggesting that, if they can update the cartel market no less then 5 times, they can spend a small amount of their resources fixing a long standing bug that is no less relevant then the old head clipping bug does not a mental patient make.

Yes, they should fix it. No, "deal with it" is not an acceptable answer and certainly not one I would ever relay to one of my customers. Perhaps we can work a barter agreement. You can handle my emotional issues and I can teach you a thing or two about basic business practices and principles? LOL

It's an artifact of physics and capes in this game.

Maybe they do something about it someday, maybe not. It's cosmetic and hence not likely to get priority resources, other then to remove capes entirely... so careful what you wish for. Personally, I'l take a little cape eccentricity in the worlds physics over having capes shortened or removed to eliminate the problem. Besides... there are many many things in this game that violate the interactions of characters and game physics. This one is a minor annoyance at worst IMO.

And yes... unless/until something is done about it.... from a strictly pragmatic perspective.... you either cope with it or you fail to cope with it. The choice is yours to make.

If you enjoy spitting into the wind, by all means, don't let me stop you.

If you are unhappy with the way TOR treats you, there are other MMOs waiting for your business. Take my business elsewhere is what I would do if I were unhappy with a vendor, rather than beat my head against a wall telling them how it "should" be.

/Agree.

Personally, for me this game has so many positive things in it, I can't get worked up about nits here and there.. and yes.. cape disfunction is a nit to me... even though I am quite fond of decking characters out in gear.

If people don't like something... or feel it's a bug that needs fixing.. /bug report it in game.. that way it gets logged and perhaps addressed somewhere down the road. If you want something the game does not offer... suggestion forum is the place to go. Constantly complaining in general forum however does nothing accept invite people to present the realities of pragmatism to you.
