No Presence buff from Treek?

If you didn't want the companion, why'd you pay for him? +10 presence ain't that big a deal; you get +100 just for getting a human to 50. Why's this such a big deal to you? You took a chance since they never said they were giving the companion a presence bonus. If you didn't want the Ewok, I doubt +10 presence is worth it.

Maybe it's not worth it to you, and that's fine. To me, that was the only real draw card of PAYING for a companion.

The point is very valid, even if you refuse to acknowledge the point. You assuming that you will get something simply because it doesn't say that you WON'T get it is absurd. Even you acknowledge that not all companions provide a presence bonus, yet you assume that this one will, even though the only other non class specific companion does not provide a presence bonus.




You got EXACTLY what you purchased, a companion? There is NO presence bonus from HK-51, a shared companion, yet you want to ASSUME that you will get a presence bonus from another shared companion.

If it's so embarrassing, why did you buy it?

The Presence bonus is not for maxing affection, it's for maxing affection and doing every single conversation with the companion. As others have said, Treek is not on that list. Neither is HK. Neither is the ship droid.

Yes, and what a completely unreasonable thing to ask for. I mean really, it's like I asked them to deliver an aircraft carrier to my door. Part of the purpose of the forums is giving us, the paying customer the ability to provide feedback. Which is what I'm doing.

HK didn't come with a price tag, which is why I didn't mind not having the affection bonus.

No, you made the mistake of making an unwarranted assumption. Whatever floats yer boat.

You can do the quest to obtain HK-51. You can also PAY to unlock him on subsequent characters. Guess what HK-51 doesn't provide the presence bonus, even if you PAY to get him on an alt.

So:

Paying for HK-51 does not grant the presence bonus.
The only companions that grant the presence bonus are class specific companions.
Treek is NOT a class specific companion.
There was nothing to indicate that you were purchasing a companion that would grant the presence bonus, or anything more than a companion.

Yeah, I guess ASSUMING that Treek would grant the presence bonus in the face of all that evidence that she wouldn't is perfectly reasonable, and those "fanbois" are out of their minds for pointing out that it should it have been obvious that there would be no presence bonus.
