If everything is fine let BioWare give us a statistic of those woprking 100% or those who never complain, versus those who are complaining because their perfomance.

I for one cant get the game installed and patched properly. My hardware and technical experience make me quallified to say there is a clear issue in the design of the game client. Having now dug though the forums looking fro solution I can also say, the DEVs are not helping or communicating enough. They apologise and ask for more info, and that has been the standrd for several weeks.

Time is running out before this evolves into larger problems for them.

Don't get me wrong im not saying its everyone having these issues, it isn't there are players who are reporting no problems with both old and new rigs, but the majority of the players who I have spoken to and read on the forums are having these issues, atleast enough to warrant some serious concerns about the swtor client.

You can pretend the issues are not there all you want, fact is they are and for many players, if they care about there game they need to communicate how there planning to solve these issues.

Saying its all on your end go fix yourself or blaming it all on user error is not going to make this go away. Communicate and admit to the issues and we can go from there.

Thanks. o7 o/
I hate to say it but I rate my self as techy and I had all the symptoms as you. I simply pulled out my memory and installed a brand new set. And you know what now more bsod's. I had a bad stick of memory. Wow didnt take me long to realise that.

They are dev troll accounts who don't want their programming insulted and their holiday ruined by having to fix their screwed up patches.

Every patch must be carefully done or these problems happen....conflicts

........

Clearly the programmer was rushed and fail to test the loading aspects....they brought to much server side as well. Never a good idea for a demanding game as this. They also pushed server limited to the max to help the queue times but the side effect is por performance.

It's ano issue the des are trying to cover up so their Xmas is not interrupted.....very sad they are doing this...they forget that the first 2 weeks of a mom is make or break....if they don't make....then they lose half the customers....look at rift and Zion...they flopped in the first month and never fully recovered....I pray this doesn't happen here but the pvp and loading issues have me now refusing to waste my time logging in thru queue to play 5 min and have to queue again due to loading screen bugs.....my system is clean and defragmenter and 3 rd install.

you guys disagreeing are in some serious denial or youre really lucky. alot of people are having issues. and like he said, ive seen a ton of beta videos where everything including shadows look great and the game runs phenomenal w lower specs than what i have. somethings wrong. if you fanboys would chill, understand this is normal and happens during launches (particularly rushed launches), we could have some serious discussion here and hopefully get everything worked out. my game runs well on high with shadows off but its still not running as intended IMO.

i7 2.8 , 8 gigs of ram, 1 gig radeon hd 5770

i know its not perfect but its what it is and it runs most all games fine in high (not always highest) settings @1920x1080. yes im using the newest CCC.

all the posts and haven't seen a dxdiag posted (there may be better ways to post system info). people say it's not their system, a little proof would go a long way to dispelling remarks like "Get a new computer". A little info may also be of use to the more tech savvy persons who lurk in the forums to help people. also haven't seen what people have done, just saying only "they did everything". "my computer runs -------- games alright" problem is, this isn't that game.

what kind of software do you use to do whatever it is you did to try to fix the problems?

when my computer goes odd on anything first thing i usually do is run http://www.auslogics.com/en/

and have it check the registry, check for junk, even seems to have a fairly fast disk defrag tool. helps optimize computer performance. it works for me unless i'm having a hardware problem. there may be better but i use this one. I only bring this up because people keep mentioning that problem happened after the patch.

"I did everything!" sounds like QQ and people will respond to it as such. give some information, make it easier for people to see. maybe someone will have a solution or a suggestion that may help.

hmm, yes I'm having performance issues as well..

My specs are:
Intel i7 - Quad Core
Geforce GT 540m w/ 1.5 GB memory
4GB DDR3 RAM
750 GB HDD

I can run Dragon Age on full, Dragon Age 2 on medium, Crysis 2 on medium, and WoW on full (ultra)..... Yet when I log in to this game, the game is barely playable fps-wise when I have all my settings on medium. High is too damn laggy.

These graphics are worse than Dragon Age, Crysis, and even Rift.... but I can run high on all of the games.... yet I can barely run this game on medium... Weird.

Also, I'd like to point out that I'm on a laptop. (as you can tell with the "540m" graphics card). I've been feeling the heat coming off my graphics card and processor when playing this game. Every other game makes the underside warm. This game last night made it hot enough to make the table surface considerably hot. That's not normal, and no it's not issues on my end. Again, this is proof that the game client is eating away resources and apparently the code has made this game very bulky and resource-consuming. But of course, I don't know anything, I mean its not like I'm a programmer or anything. /sarcasm

Also, I've been looking at the client's processes in my Task Manager.. Here's what I see:

swtor.exe *32 | CPU: 11 | Memory: 1,001,968 K
swtor.exe *32 | CPU: 02 | Memory: 485,176 K

Hmm, first off the memory usage is off the freakin charts. Secondly, why are there TWO processes? My CPU Usage is spiking tremendously and my Memory usage is up to 3.02 GB out of 4.00 GB....

Do NOT sit here and tell me I'm ignorant and stupid enough to not know what I'm doing. It's on the client's side, not... the... USER.

TL;DR I'm reporting the same problem and I agree with OP
