Well, hopefully somebody already shared this gem of knowledge, but I decided not to wade through 7 pages of fluff to find it: The STAP does scale to level (90% Level 1, 100% Level 2, and 110% Level 3). Perhaps the OP simply received the "whiner's edition" STAP that is restricted to level 1 only. Yes, for the whopping $5 you spent on this you received three things for every character you ever build: 1. Bunch of useless fluff 2. STAP speeder (scalable) 3. VIP Lounge access (not a big deal, but does provide access to all banks/holds/GTN/mail in one convenient location; the access band is 1M credits from a vendor). I don't know about others, but, when I bought mine, I also received 500 "complimentary" Cartel Coins. A direct purchase of 500 Cartel Coins cost, at the time......... (wait for it)............ $4.99.

The DDE was $20, the speeder did not scale, and you missed the part where this thread was created in 2011.

There was some necromancy involved with this thread...did you even look at the date of the the OP's post? But you do have a point. I had this edition, and at the time the game was new, it was wonderful.

With the extra CC the digital edition was essentially free, plus I got a free SCALABLE account-wide speeder out of the deal. And though people knock the VIP lounge, that's where I hang out on the fleet. Nowhere else do you get the GTN, your storage locker, and mail all within a few steps of each other. Plus it is never crowded. That's a real advantage when you are working the GTN. I couldn't care less what other vendors are up there.

Neeeeecrooooooo Even though the speeder didn't used to scale, it was still kind of nice to just have that speeder waiting for you on all your alts. Speeders also used to be more of a pain to buy then they used to be, and training was more expensive too, so any credits saved was important. And I like my little holodancer.
