This for sure.

I'm just saying that people, while they see a person in full BM gear in a WZ and that person happens to be a lvl 50, should calmly explain what is going on, not go like "remove that crap gear you n00b".

It is really not the fault of people that are coming back after long absence, that they do not know about the bolster and gear change since it was not communicated properly by ever failing BW.

I see many people in WZ's wearing BM gear and i always try to tell them it's not a good idea to wear it and give them explanation. This way you make sure such person will not make the same mistake again.

Thank you so much, I recently came back to the game with full BM, and I have way less hp than level 35s. It sucked. I will go replace my gear now, thanks.

But I love wearing my BM gear. Nothing compares to it in the looks department. So I will continue to wear it. I hope you won't mind that you cannot get any 10k+ hits on me.

The BM gear is moddable these days, so wear the shells, the retro look is in right now!

As for damage, all my 11k+ hits have been on BM/recruit/Centurion wearers. I have no issues with the other team wearing it

The Centurion set was never craftable, so if you don't have the old original shells from the vendor the best you can do is get the Battlemaster version made and dye it if you really want that look (and have the valor requirement obviously). Granted there are minor model differences between the two (both imp and rep flavors) but it's 90% the same. All that being said, I'm on JC and can make all the Combat Tech and Eliminator BM/WH shells. If you're still looking feel free to hit me up online.

Please, do us all a favour and stop queuing in it. It's great that people are trying PvP again after obviously being away for a while, but you're doing yourself no favours at all by wearing that old gear. If you don't have somewhere around 24k hp minimum, something is screwing your bolster up. If you have 20k hp and 1500 expertise, you are going to get *massacred* for no good reason.

I believe it is also still the case that you should remove the expertise color crystals from any War Hero or Elite War hero weapons you have, and replace them with PvE crystals (power/crit/end). You should also ideally replace any pre2.0 PvP relics with versions that don't have expertise on (EDIT: WH/EWH relics of boundless ages should be ok, as the huge power bonuses may make up for the bolster shortfall).

Is there any chance this could be stickied, and ideally have some kind of ingame mail sent to players returning after a long absence? This kind of thing has to be making their lives miserable in WZs.

This message was brought to you by the committee of 'I just hit that guy for 11k and took more than half his health'.
If the Devs didnt think it would be effective in PvP they would have removed it themselves ..

That statement is predicated on the assumption that they have this under control and there's a method to this madness.

I think nothing could be further from the truth.

The developer really needs to do something about the old PvP gear (ie. remove expertise). I was confused as hell when I came back to this game after a 9 month break. If it wasn't for having a guild with helpful friends It would have taken much longer to get over the learning curve. There is absolutely nothing in-game that explains how bolster works.
