I disagree. IMHO, working to level your character is the whole point of plating. Why get on a game if you can just buy your way to the end? Having an XP Boost, like what is already in the game, is appropriate. However, I believe it would ruin the overall game if everyone could just buy the XP to max out the character. Then, use that character to make credits and buy the next character XP. Where's the fun/challenge in that?

Again, this is just my opinion; and they always say, "opinions are like butts...everyone has one and most think that everyone elses stinks."

Clear nightmare TFB and SnV and tell me PvE isn't challenging please.

You completely missed his point. He's saying that the 1-55 leveling is static, boring, and not challenging. IHO adding an instant purchase to level cap to make you not have to grind for a long time before even starting OPs (the real challenge in PvE) would be OK with him.

I see his point, but I still don't agree with it.

I would have to say I don't think this is a good idea at all.

If...and this is a big if....if a person leveled a toon to max level in a certain class and AC then perhaps I could see them getting an unlock to create a fresh 55, but I see even that as a stretch, not to mention something that I think would be a pretty toxic addition.

Just my slant mind you. I speak only for myself.

[Sith warrior voice] That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

You would instantly have your companions with maxed out affection, all quests completed, all crew skills maxed and be fully geared as well right? Because else you will get complains about it. Must be fun to have a 55' running around Dromund Kaas doing its class quests.

I'm sure this will not influence end game ops and FP's either since you will also instantly learn how to play your class...right?

Legacy level 2...really!? So you do not even need any serious experience in the game either then....make it legacy level 50 and it might only be in my top 10 of dumbest things I've ever heard.

There is no pay to win. It is all cosmetic except for those hideous orange crystals. Show me pay to win right now on the market. I'm not a big fan of the market for other reasons, but it is not pay to win.

and about the insta level, i am sure that i would not complain if they existed, but some people would get mad at that thats for sure, i mean i know people who has the two of the same class just to play both advanced, so i am pretty sure that some people would like this.
PVE is face roll. srsly.. i play maybe 2 hours a night and gain 2 levels.. WoW made me grind quests for a day to make level in vanilla and to a certain extent in burning.

Make no mistake. i like swtor. But it is catered to the kiddie pool in alot of ways. only hard/nigmare stuff is for the more dedicated mmo'r...

No thanks. What purpose would the story pose anyways? Padding?

I'm not sure how it would work since everything you can do at cap is pretty gated to where you are in your story (no companions, no ship, no service).

But, if it just gave you the magic level cap then left it up to you to still do the rest I guess I have no real problem with it :P

They've already made the story free to play anyway, so letting people buy their way past what they're offering for free makes sense in a way. Just a win for the company (and they need more wins).

The end game is not strong enough to justify it. People would be buying it and then complaining that they've missed the USP of TOR - the story.

Only game that this could work is WoW, where the game is pretty much end-game focused anyway. The fact that Blizzard have not implemented shows they must know something.

Finally, anyone who played AoC and who rolled an instant 55 will know what a pain it was having to learn the class and run quests in Tortage to get gear etc.
