Dailies, umm help low levels in flash points, work on my social points. And maybe run one or two HMs is about it.

Thought about leveling a new character up, maybe a Sniper but I just can't force myself to do it. Side quests are less then fun to me.

I've done one Operation since hitting 55 and well, having myself and 7 other heroes fight a single enemy just didn't feel heroic to me... Right James?

Well I have 7 characters at 55 , so I would do 1 Makeb weekly a day , which takes about 1-1.5 hours at a time. you then have 12 elite comms and 20-24 basic comms per character. For the remaining 1 hr - half an hour per day I would probably play on an alt or 2.

What I have done since getting a character at a time to 55 since Makeb came out , has been fun , i had a choice of hoth bonus series , voss bonus series and Corillia side missions and planet missions. So i would chose from them to get to about 53 before starting makeb. i tried the micro binoculars and seeker droid missions. I thought they where okay but couldn't stand doing them for all my characters. Also I realised that no offhand , earpiece , belt bracer and implants are obtainable from basic comms , so i did gear those parts up from crafters off the GTN. You make about 110 k for doing a weekly. i was doing the dailys on makeb for a few weeks , i only enjoyed 5 on the PUB side and 3 on the Imp side and would only start the Imp ones after completing makeb , the pub ones you could start at level 50 straight away. A few FP's to mix it up. So i had and have plenty to do really. i only just found the time since the double xp weekends to play on an alt the last 2 nights. I forget to add that you might want a basic comms relic for 150 basic and if you have the 104 power old pvp relic then you are set. the only problem was that I required ( on one or two characters ) none of the elite items as I had bought what i mentioned , then realised i could rip out mods for another 55 characters. Also note you can send full pieces of basic comms armor via your legacy and don't forget your main hand weapon with basic comms.

There will be plenty to do when we get the gree event , 2 weeks of that mixed in with some of the above and then a new daily area for a week , then finally a weeks worth of bounty hunting in the next event.

Cheers,

BadOrb.

So I'm curious, what do others do at 55 to keep interested in the game. You log on, you're in the fleet, what do you do next - assuming you have about 2 hours to play.
I try to help my guildies gear for HM 55 ops, doing dailies with them and crafting.

outside of dailies.

not understanding where these players are getting the notion that there's an MMO out there with 7000 hours of unique content. by the way the human life span is under 7000 hours. its around 6000.

Crap! That means I have expired too!
Older than one year = ancient, apparently.

You have a good overall point. No matter who you are, at some point you will reach your "boredom level." For some people it may be after two or three toons are leveled. Others may want to play them all multiple times. Some people level so fast that they finish it all in weeks, which initially surprised Bioware. Others take months.

Whatever your toleration level, you will reach it, and that's why both you and Bioware ought to have an Exit Strategy when you do. You don't really expect to be playing this game when you are 64, do you?* Bioware surely does not expect you to, either, do they? Both parties here need to realize this. For our part as players, we need to set goals in the game realistic for ourselves, work toward those goals, and when we have achieved them, pull the plug and move on.

Bioware needs to recognize this, too. They really should not strive to keep subscribers beyond their natural "pull date." Instead, they should concentrate on developing and attracting new players with, you know, F2P and all that. Because Bioware has access to the game metrics,, they ought to be able to chart the lifetime of an actual player pretty easily. There are enough players that statistical techniques could tell them precisely what the lifetime of an average player is, regardless of the extremes, and they could plan accordingly.

Too bad we don't have access to statistics like that. It would make a fascinating study.

* I'm 64. That's over 560,000 hours.

Log in, do a FP or a WZ and let it time me out and boot me to server selection.

Gave up on the idea of grinding for gear because they are only going to remove it / make it easier to get and bring in another tier. Besides, once I had the top teir of gear for PvE and PvP, I'd have nothing else to play for

GG
Kleck - Jugg Omisri - Maud Aeox - Assassin Meign - Sorc Idep - Stealthy Operative Jacke - Merc
SWTOR - No longer is it like the pain of a full bladder in your car on a long journey, relieved by a hidden service station. But the dissapointment you get when you find out you were not in a car - you were asleep, just wet yourself, and had to pay for new bedding.
