It was a gift for a particular group of people. The gift was given to subscribers of the game. They didn't say, "Subscribe and we'll give you 500 extra cc."

If I give a gift to each of my coworkers, is it no longer a gift because they had to be my coworker to get it?

Now in my opinion that thread you were referring to was over the top and vulgar agreed but I must admit that their are people on this forum who make me so mad i'd love to climb through the screen and slap them. I just think that forums of any kind illicit emotional responses from people regardless of what the subject matter is. So yeah to me this game forum is no different than other forums I am part of.
Thank you

You actually hit on something that bugs me..."emotion" - over this forum/game. I actually believe that it's natural and OK to become "emotional" about this game. Most people play it for entertainment and I don't see why it should be any different than when people get "emotional" or "passionate" about their favorite TV series, or their favorite sports team, or their favorite reality TV show star. People are very passionate and "emotional" about all of those things...why is being passionate/emotional about a video game frowned upon?

I control a lot more in this game than I do with the Packers...I also spend a lot more time playing this game than I do watching football...why is it ok for me to be a fanatic during football season, but somehow frowned upon when it comes to this game, which I actually have a lot of control over?

Long story short...I agree with you. I don't view being "passionate" about this game (or any game) as a bad thing...but I do tend to throw it back at people who think that somehow they're above "emotion" and that by being passionate about this game, I'm somehow abnormal....I'm abnormal, no doubt about that...but I think I'm well adjusted when it comes to this game.

Not true:

Example Birthday/Christmas/Chanuka - You get a gift because it is the holiday being celebrated. That condition exists, but does not negate the gift.

What are you talking about?

Wow, now, really, what are you talking about?
I was trying to figure out your logic , after posting that I then read what you mean't .

It was a subscriber only free gift , because some subbs moaned about a patch which was Cartel Market items only ( nothing wrong with that In my eyes ) , So obviously you had to be subscribed to receive said free gift. You still got your stippend and months worth of Subb.

I'll leave it there , this topic isn't for me anymore.

Cheers,

BadOrb.
