Pointing out that a games released 10 years ago runs at higher fps on modern hardware than one released less than 2 years ago is asinine at best.
Click my link please, I'm almost out of Cartel coins - http://www.swtor.com/r/Sh6HPh

I run it on a business laptop with crappy Intel HD integrated graphics. It works just fine in 'medium' graphics mode.

Shorter loading times would be nice but are hardly game breaking.

That's right, you don't have any because you are basically projecting your problem onto the rest of the world. I am sure there are some people because there have been some complaints but I've seen nothing to indicate it would be any type of majority.

I can play this game just fine and I don't even have a SSD. Sure, I notice some drops in fps at places but it doesn't affect me 99.9% of the time. So I wonder what this "terrible performance" is all about because I don't experience what you do.
Google: SWTOR FPS issues, problems, performance issues or anything of the sort. Just because it isn't posted here doesn't mean it isn't an issue. I think you need to stop living inside the box. That doesn't even count the people who play the game and never post about it like A LOT of people do. I googled a few variations of that and founds pages of threads on many different sites with people having issues. It is a pretty big amount of people with many different setups.

I think you meant to say "I'm not having issues so that means it's not a big problem!"

I mean no offense but you basically just said that. Since you have no issues it must mean it's everyone else's problem/fault.

Greetings,

Lets be honest here, WoW looks terrible, I'm mean literally terrible, and TOR looks way better in every aspect so there is nothing more to discuss regarding this matter.

I really think this OP is a Troll sent from WOW to instigate trouble. If they like WOW's graphic and FPS the go backt to where they came from.

Okay, I followed your advice and googled "SWTOR FPS issues". I got 3.9 million hits, which does indeed look like a lot.
But then again, I looked at the dates and surprisingly there was only a single hit, that was from 2013, everything else is from 2012 or even 2011. Also a lot of those hits are about solving the problem not reporting it.

So I fail to see, how that is any proof for "most" people being affected by that problem at all.

While i don't think that WoW looks better in any way it is true that this game has real performance issues. If they are not going to improve the engine it will be impossible to make the game visually better with further expansions.
Makeb already marks a line as it is the only planet i can't play on max. settings.

Try narrowing your search with the google tool. I set mine to 2013 (I don't mean typing SWTOR FPS ISSUES 2013) I mean using the Timeframe tool after you search) and found less posts for sure but still a large amount. You also fail to see the point. It may be a year old, does that mean all these people are all cured of issues or possibly that they just stopped playing because of it?

I think you should do a bit of research before you decide to assume something like that.
I know there are issues. I said as much. But I do not believe it is a problem as the op described for "most people". I think if most people had this problem as the op, the game would have been shut down already. I do not say there are no problems but I do say the OP is exaggerating and has not actual proof that most people have a problem...and neither do you.

Your suggestion to google it is therefore laughable.

I am not living in a box, you simply don't read very well and make the same mistake as the op. Just because some people complain about something doesn't mean it's true, nor does it mean the represent a majority.

Now as I described, I have had fps drops at times, but rarely to the point it affects my gaming. So I do know there can be fps issues, but I have not had the problems the op described, nor did some of the other posters here.

I do not know where the numbers are, but I do know there's a hell of a lot more people playing the game than there are people complaining about it. And for that reason I challenge you to give me numbers, because A) I know you don't have any and B) I would be very much surprised if hundreds of thousands of players would be frustrated over this and not overwhelm the forums which is what I would expect if it were true.

Barely keep 60 FPS average on fleet with only high settings, random tearing and fps spikes.

I can't even imagine trying to play this game on a normal computer.
SWTOR runs perfectly on my system with no slow downs on max settings. Stop making up that it runs badly just because you don't know the first thing about computers.
