That's a misnomer. SWTOR's QA hasn't gone away, it's never been there to begin with.

See there.. neither important or notable to me.

Mods are pretty self-evident IMO... with just a little assistance from Mr Google.

Crafting recipes....yeah....BUT don't you need something much better then the broadband databases for this... like an actual crafters website?? If I were a crafter.. I would consider this a special purpose website category.

The other reason is just a smaller dedicated community to put the time in to upload data.

Also, the smaller the community, the less they can make money off their sites to keep them going.

However, Dulty keeps her site up to date.
Dulfy however has taken a whole year off to focus on the world of MMOs (talk about dedication!)

one wonders how much focus she will be able to put on her site and her love of MMOs once her gap year comes to an end...

As an aside I sure wish I had the luxury of taking a year off to just play games (damn you Real Life!)

The game's launch was quite ambitious. On the order of World of Warcraft. Item DB sites anticipated something more socially significant. When this did not pan out, interest and therefore third party support dropped off accordingly.

Well, that's why some of us are 3k dps Sentinels and others a 2k dps Sentinels.

Very true. But WoW allowed api's that would auto update from what I understand. If all we have is .dat mining then you really have to have a good crew that is willing to mine .dat files and post up the findings. Which is a pain the butt and a part of the bygone era of MMO's that most people don't have the patience for anymore.

That's not the correct usage of misnomer. "You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means."/Inigo Montoya

FREE game, with FREE content update every 2 weeks. Just thinking about it why am I still subbed to this game? I pay a monthly sub, don't even get monthly content and the swtor cash shop gets updated nearly twice as much as new content goes out for paying a sub. Even when we do get new content bioware seems to monetize half the features within it.

I'm not against the cartel market but I am against being ripped out. The worst part is this dev cycle will never be broken as long as people keep cranking in hundreds of dollars. Can you imagine the kind of bonuses Corey and Jeff get now? Do you honestly think they will put their team into a direction that gives subs content in a timely manner? 10 Months for a pvp update? Over a year without a new FP? And almost 10 months of running the game OP and having the title of new slapped on it because they scaled the level?

Its just sad.

Obviously I cannot answer this question for your case, but for me the answer is: "Cause SWTOR does entertain me, while GW2 does not"
