I thought all they did was change the fact that armor is tied to dark/light side choice? instead you can now pick whichever choice works best for you and still get a choice of chest pieces, instead of being stuck with whatever was tied to alignment? (grumbles about having to pick darkside choice and losing affection with Acina in a process, just because I didn't like star forager and wanted dreadseed)

you still have to keep digging for the rest of the pieces.

Tbh, it's highly unlikely they'd just give out the whole set.
Digging up the armor sets is a time sink, it is connected to achievements and currently the only use you have for the seeker droid are the armor sets and the speeder parts.
Why would they give out the set?

But, come one Bioware, just pop in and give an official answer.

I'm pretty sure they're just giving you the choice of which armor to go with because people were complaining about being in a group and losing the alignment role. I cannot confirm that, but it would make sense. TBH, I'd be disappointed if I didn't need to go do the digging, isn't that the whole point of the seeker droid?

Everyone who obtained a full set of Dreadseed or Star Forager armor, knows how long it takes before you've got every single piece of that set. You could easily complete all dailies in that time :-| .
Something for the solo player. Stop crying.

This.

Just to admit: I didn't loathe digging up the pieces most of the time (it was for a good cause), but as TheNahash mentions, it costs a LOT of time. Time, if it's actually true you get an entire set at the end of the Heroic, I could have wasted on more 'important' things in hindsight, like grinding dailies, or the same old four level 55 Flashpoints. Or levelling another toon from a class I didn't got to level 55 yet.

No, you received the Star Forager or Dreadseed title (and possibility to dig up the corresponding armor) depending on YOUR choice, wether you won the alignment role or not.

Can anyone confirm that the storage case contains an entire set?

There is no point raging that some people are getting the full set free if they WON'T get the full set for free.

I'm about 3 planets away from finishing the seeker droid quest on my next character (already done it with 3). So I can find out on my own in short order. Still, can anyone confirm?

Missed yours. Yes, voice of reason. I think you understand where I'm coming from though. Lot of people all too ready to jump down each others throats at the slightest provocation without any solid reason.

I agree they probably just gave the choice to pick which chest you want and what set u can dig up later. It would make no sense if they gave away a whole set and it's funny that some people actually believed that and apologists even approved such nonsense.
