Not really so simple. If you look at straight equipment from drops, but fp and heroics do make some gear available that is completely equal with partisan after bolster especially if you can min max the gear. I have bought partisan and switched it out with my highly modified pve gear to have a very small change in stats (i do stay under the point of no return for pve gear though).

So partisan is sitting there until conqueror upgrade and min max plus augments, because until then I can not really be sure what is best other than but conq relics earpiece as soon as hit lvl 55 plus the super expensive exotech stim/adrenals that persist through death. PVP math is in the "world is flat" level of logic at this time.

It's right there, in the first post.

I'm not asking for people to go minmax the best gear, and I'm not blaming the players. I'm trying to have people avoid getting facerolled needlessly because of a lack of communication on BW's part. Trash greens, and you'll get bolstered up to a minimum equipment level with about 24khp, 2k expertise and mediocre stats.

That's all you need to start fresh. Sure it'll hurt, but it'll hurt a hell of a lot less than wearing battlemaster.

After doing multiple warzones this evening with people wearing battlemaster (go go 20k hp!), I think this thread needs a big ole necrobump.

Bioware, get your damn house in order, and communicate IN-GAME to people about the bolster changes, and old PvP sets.

After months of PvPing after 2.0, I still can't believe that I see people still wearing this gear.

I came back to the game in May and had 0 clue about the change in gear that happened since i left in March 2012. I belong to the group of people that check forums of the game i play atm, so i knew after i came back that my BM gear is obsolete but trust me, many people are coming back and many of them do not check forums so they have 0 idea that their gear is outdated. There may have been more info in game or some e-mail update or something like that.

When i came back i was really surprised to learn that BM gear is useless and any green PvE gear is better.

Exactly. I suspect most people who have come back after a long absence are completely unaware of the bolster changes and problems with outdated PvP gear. Forums cater to a minority, and even if you DO read them, outside of threads like this there aren't exactly big flashing posts telling you to check your gear.

After all these months, and all those promises that communication would improve...

Great post m8 and seeing alot of returning players in pvp who have not been keeping up with the changes most have been asking why they have been hit so hard

I assumed most people would have gotten Partisan already. Just taking longer than I thought to flush this old gear out. I just want to keep this thread bumped. Education is our biggest ally.
