While the time spent loading planets is a factor, I find not having access to PvP mission terminals is more of a deterrent.

Loading times have gotten way way worse with 2.1 and collections system, and later they got bit smaller with partial loading, so you're allowed into zone before everything inside finishes loading. But 'thanks' to that we have to wait 5 min before mission terminal appears on fleet, or have to suffer additional "spinning circle" screens and stucks at random moments of our gameplay.

Pretty much this. Loading times are certainly a factor as to why you do warzone dalies in one sitting, so you don't have to come back to fleet just to turn them in, but also queue times are rarely long enough(at least on my server) so you can leave fleet and actualy zone in on planet before getting pop.

For me, it's the lack of a convenient terminal that stops me from queueing while I'm out questing. So I hop around the fleet, wait for a pop, turn in the daily and then move on to questing or FPs. The loading times are annoying, too, but not the main reason.

As an aside... I can't believe how many people (all of them?) spelled "queue" correctly in this thread. This has to be a first.

I had a go at a few warzones last year with my JK because I wanted the level 40 armour for him.

Bored me rigid so have never bothered since. I couldn't even tell you whether queue times are/were good or bad.

In my case, my focus is clearly on PvE - and I do PvP exclusively when I'm on the Fleet - exactly because of the planet loading times.

AH! Yes - same again, because who wants to warp back to the ship on an 18 hour CD just to turn in your daily and then have to fly back there again just to turn in your weekly? And the 2nd daily. Especially because the QG (quest giver) is just a metal box on the fleet. Good point.

There are loading times everywhere ...
Some of us just don't like PvP, have nothing to do with loading time.

They should just put a quest terminal inside the loading area of each warzone. Problem solved.

That'd be convenient as hell.

It was just occurring to me today that this might be one of the issues with PVP participation.

At least in my case I can say, definitely, as a PVP'er I don't do much questing exactly because once I leave the fleet, the loading times are ridiculous. When I do queue from Corellia or Belsavis I throw up my hands after one or two matches because the loading times are crazy just to go into a 15 minute warzone.

So I'm on the fleet not doing anything, just because if I were on a planet, it would take like ten times as long to load in and out of it.

So I was just thinking, since PVE'ers are always out questing, maybe they're never queuing for the same reason. Yay or nay? Loading times: if they were faster would you queue more?

Wondering - thanks.

FYI I'm playing on a solid state hard drive with a very fast ISP and lots and lots of RAM.
A friend of mine isn't participating in pvp as much because of this issue. I don't have too long loading times which is why it doesn't bother me as much.
