Spoiler In Rise of the Hutt Cartel you find out he is dead and the hand lied to you. What isn't explained is what happens to the Sith Warrior as he can't be the emperors hand with the emperor dead and what vengeance he will take on the hand for lying to him.

Spoiler It is mere speculation by Darth Marr. Plus the Republic doesn't know squat. The guy you kill at the end of the Jedi Knight story line is human while the Emperor's true body is a Sith Pureblood. So you couldn't have killed the Emperor.

No one has yet met the emperor in any story line. Spoiler What is told by the Republic is merely based on the opinion that you killing his voice = emperor is dead while you receive an E-mail in the Sith Warrior quest line explaining exactly this. What Darth Marr is saying doesn't mean anything as he doesn't know but rather is yet another Sith trying to take over the powerhouse. Will we ever see him? Well the thing is... either we see him only as playing on the Empire side as meeting him on the Republic side most likely would mean that he, for some reason, is getting too close to the front line. However seeing him in a "heroic" fashion helping us killing the dread guards only to vanish back to what ever backwater planet he is currently staying on, certainly had its interesting aspects.

Spoiler I fail to see what part of "defeated in body but NOT in spirit" you didn't listen. Honestly, I will never understand why the word of the Supreme Chancellor takes precedence over the word of the Emperor's Hand, having in mind the former was missing precious information, before doing the announcement it did.
