Oh, no, watch the cut scenes to your heart's content. Then best of luck finding a tank after I drop group because you're doing it.
I'm a tank

Is that annoying? Yes? I rest my case.

You've got to remember that though you may not spam it, that is the way those who do spam it type it. So, try not to type it the same way as they do. Even typing it like that once can be taken the wrong way. At the very least capitalizing it (not all caps) makes a big difference. Adding a question mark or actually typing out a full sentence is even better.

Laziness in text is almost universally considered rude and childish, as it should be.

Only the meek get pinched. The bold survive.

He said he did it once. If he were spamming it like that then yes I would agreed because that is not a one time request then kick, that's spamming which is actually against ToS. Saying spacebar once however is not and is completely normal and common place.

The point is saying "spacebar" can come off as highly demanding. And how many gamers do you know that like being told what to do in a demanding fashion?

If he did say spacebar once then they did over react. If on the other hand he had been trying to rush them through the entire FP the spacebar comment might have been the last straw. We don't know as we only have his word to go on as to what happened.

With the exception of acronyms which are often generally capitalized isn't all caps in text generally considered shouting?

That is not even close to being the same thing. One guy is looking for a group, while the other wants to impose his need for speed on an already-formed group.
Crosswire - Republic Commando
Commander - The Way of the Maker Christian/Family-rated Guild
Ebon Hawk

That is like saying "does anyone need a ride" is the same as "get in the car".

I thought there was a protocol for this sort of thing? As some people like to go through the stories cut-scenes and others want to do a "quick-run" as I think it is called. Anyway, I thought that we were supposed to announce to those who want to join a group, before they join a group, that the group would be doing a quick-run or enjoying the stories cut scenes.

So if this was a quick-run, then OP is in the right. But if it was a story-run, for a lack of a better term, then OP is in the wrong. If it wasn't stated what the run would be, then you all bad...
