Vulgarity isn't the issue. It's the content of what is being said and if it is actually beneficial to what is going on.

Listening to a few players argue back and forth about who did or did not call what, or who left a node unguarded, or saying other annoying crap as they tear down their own team is not going to make anyone in a WZ any better.

Unless a team is actually going to use a VOIP for voice communication and not to just harass their own team mates it is a hindrance, and not a help, to the team.

They only heal each other, and they only use chat to get your help when and if it makes their objectives work. They can cap other nodes because you are the distraction they leave behind. I know because this is what I do on a premade ( yes we do end up guarding because we follow up after folks leave). I started to notice this after I began playing with a premade and then switched back to PUG.
So because you are selfish it means everybody is

Let's not push broad assumptions about character issues, hm? Does him being "selfish" mean everybody is selfish? No. But, if he has blue eyes it doesn't mean everyone has blue eyes. If he's nice, it doesn't mean everybody's nice. If you're self-less, it doesn't mean everyone is selfless.

Maybe the forum premades are just here to "have a good time"; "improve their skills by pitting themselves against better players"; "Just playing with their friends"; you name it. Whatever good, nice, harmless thing you suppose that you are and all the other premades are, there are hundreds of other players who are using their subscriptions for less noble purposes, like:

  • Being a fully geared ranked 4-man exploiting the regs queue for the easy wins.
  • Enjoying the thrill of playing against other live players, but not having to experience any serious risk of losing.
  • Using their considerable advantages of 1) gear 2) team experience and 3) coordination to gratify their base egos, with no regard to what this does to the population.

The above may not describe the premades arguing on the forum, but it describes the majority of the premades that are ruining regs queue for everybody. It needs to be fixed.

do even more work so the Solo-player can benefit (from their absence)?
There is no "work". Only fun. This is a computer game after all. You did group because you wanted to, because its your gameplay preference, because it's fun for you.
Telling the solo player "But i did all this WORK!..." is just nonsense.
Love this post ^

So rather than have that happen they are willing to sacrifice the casual base of the game to keep stomping out easy wins. The only people this doesn't apply to is hardcore premades, but those people actually want to do ranked but can't find teams willing to take them on because there aren't enough hardcore players or they can't organize or they simply aren't as good. It's the ones who aren't good enough for ranked, but who can still win by using your methods who benefit the most, again at the expense of the community at large.
Quoted for truth. The real reason is as plain as the nose on their face but they'd burn a box of babies to make you think it was for [/insert ANY other reason except the truth].

So your solution to pugs being farmed by premades is to have casual premades farmed by hardcore premades. Thats not even a solution, it simply forcing another to deal with problem instead of solving it.

By signing up for grouped, you're signing up for premades. The universe is also fair: when the hardcores go solo because they can't win as much, we'll be stuck with them in our queue; but alone, they wont be much a problem. If someone says they will be, they're full of it.

I made the distinction between the term solo vs. PuG only because it was in response to this part:

I'll admit perhaps I was a bit confused, but it seemed you meant a solo player didn't like to play in a group setting (such as teamwork-related tasks). I apologize if I mistook the meaning there.

Also sorry for not responding to the second half of that earlier. Yes, I would love a 4-man ranked option (either 4 vs 4 or 2 4-mans in 8 vs 8.) and recognize it would relieve some of the conflict brought by our "play styles."

THAT is the gameplay preference/play style i was talking about.
I think we are having another communication error here. Once again, there's only one objective to game (win) and only one optimal way to get there. Fun being subjective, policy and mechanics can't be decided on "what's fun."

I might think warzones are more fun if everyone just uses the legacy karate moves, but I'm not going to be shocked when other people aren't playing my version of fun.

<.< Actually I find it fun to find friends, but that's my problem too it seems.

Edit: Argument being revised, badly worded. Will post later.
Player Responsibility: Players have the responsibility to strive for improvement before asking for changes.
Player Accountability: Insufficient credits, lack of gear, poor reputation, and inability to compete is the price of laziness, incompetence, and/or unwillingness.
