Why not add more restrictions?
You'd easily hit Legacy Level 2 by level 30, sorta making the restriction obsolete...

Why not make it:
-Legacy Level 40
-Can only do it once a month
-Can only be done once per 55 you levelled normally
-You get a little icon next to your name to show you did it
We all live or die as Krayt wills, Stryfe. At his word, I would cut out my own heart. Or yours.

That would be cool
And then have them earn experience still and once they acquired enough exp to regularly reach lvl 55, the "stain" can be taken off

There is only one restriction I would want to see on this... not on live servers. Test server? Fine, that's great, people might actually roll there and test. Tornament server like Blizzard does from time to time? Wonderfull. Live servers? Nope, BioWare has already said they aren't doing pay to win and that's what it would be,

This is something that should be on test server anyway IMO. Either frogs or the ability to just create a level 55 character for testing content.

You should have the choice of either creating a character at level 1 or one that is maxed, fully geared and the like to test end game.

Why not? Would probably lead to a lot of money for BW, then they may actually go "Okay, more content!"

I am really open to any ideas. My thought was "why not?". People like end game, and they like alts. They just hate the grind, especially more than once. This way, they could try out one of every AC, and would likely even SUB just to get the full 22 slots (or whatever it is). 20k seems a touch steep, but 12k would still be twice the price of any of the packs and would make them more money. I would absolutely be playing all the time if I had access to a 55 in every class (that didn't take a full year of grinding to get). Like you said, it hurts no one and gives them an excuse to bring more content. Especially if they are making money from CM sales like this.

Like I said back on page 2, the only way I could see this working well is if they did like Blizzard does with their Arena Tournament. I only played in the one back during Wrath, but I think it was something like...

Pay something liike $20-25 for access to the server.
Make whatever characters you want, they all start at the level cap.
Everyone begins with all the top tier gear for any spec you can play as.
If you find anything lacking there are vendors that sell anything you might want(gear, gems, enchants).
You can't really run out of money, if I remember right there's even an npc that will give you more money if you need it.

[Character Level Advancement]
Bound

Cartel Market Item - 10,000CC
Use of this item instantly increases current character level to maximum.
*Requires Legacy Level 2 or higher
90 or 180 Day Cooldown (unsure)

This way, if you are in a rush, you can hit the iWin button, get to level cap, go get your gear from the GTN, and go do what you want to do and leave the questing and side missions to those of us who enjoy them.

Well this was a thinly veiled complaint about Double XP weekends...
Nice try tho, 5/10 for originality of including colours...

Absolutely not.

Faster leveling is one thing. A good thing. But the leveling process is still important.

We have enough unskilled players trying to fill roles using classes and specs they don't understand as it is, without adding insta-leveling or class changes to the mix. That's just an invitation for disaster.

0/10 for reading comprehension. I've been talking in favor of this for several pages now and have even made concession to other ideas. I made the color scheme to demonstrate more visually what the item description might look like. Other people only take an idea seriously if you take the time to be serious yourself. I would absolutely shell out the money for the CM to buy a high level toon. Not really sure why people are so strongly against instant leveling. Like someone else said, we already have people at 55 who don't know their class after playing it for 55 levels. This way, they get the same result just by clicking an item.

Why not just remove the level system all together then? Have everyone at a set level, and have all enemies at that level?
