I might be wrong, but I think the post to which you responded was directed at the OP and not your suggestion.

..entirely possible; I was replying based on the timing of it right behind mine. Still, I think it applies in either case IMO.

There is a difference between purchasing an XP boost (even if it provides a bigger XP boost than a "normal" xp boost would) and purchasing a max level character. The former I do not see as P2W, but that latter is P2W, IMO.

As someone else said...HELL NO!!!!

I pose this question in all seriousness: would you be OK with someone (other than yourself) who has no idea what they are doing at the level cap be in your group - FP or OP or WZ? Because that is what you would get. The leveling process is there so you can LEARN TO PLAY a given advanced class. Just because you have leveled one character to the cap does not mean you know ANYTHING about how to play every other class. Yes, some players are quicker to learn than others. They are the MINISCULE minority.

Sorry but I feel the need to repeat myself...

HELL NO!!!!!

The passive aggressive hatred of PvE players is strong with this one.

It's all about "entitlement" again, not "passive aggressive".

Edit: I also don't hate PvE'ers. I generally tend to not know them because I avoid as much PvE as possible, as the play style bores me to the fact it makes me /wrists. Not only that, their generalizations about PvP and PvP'ers really make them look like hypocrites. What they say about PvP and/or PvP'ers tend to be very true about their own community and their play style, too.

Considering that the leveling/story content is the only remotely unique part of this game, that's probably never going to happen.

Are people really still just "wanting desperately to be at endgame?" Why? To farm dailies and farm ops for hours to get a +10 stat upgrade?

I mean that's a serious question. If you want "normal" MMO activities, WoW does all of them better in every way aside from the IP. Better engine, better control, better encounters, better class design, better challenge.

If anything, SWTOR needs to move AWAY from those activities and focus on what it does best by providing more story content at a quicker pace.

I chose 10k since that would -
1. Keep people from just making 22 lvl 55s right away
2. Prove they were serious about the purchase
3. Increase revenue for BWEA

They are more likely to take it seriously if they know it wouldn't be abused and they could make some good money from it.

As someone who just loves to PvP, yeah, I'm not against paying ~$80 just to get a toon for Lv. 55 right away and see if I'd rather go through the process of leveling through WZ/FP/Story missions or not, albeit by spending a ton of cash just for 2 toons.

I'm not an alotholic, but both leveling vs. being bumped straight to 55 both have their advantages and drawbacks. I personally wouldn't use it more than 2 times.

World of Warcraft has Refer-A-Friend and Scroll of Resurrection, both of which hands you an instant 80. The benefit of only having 4 classes (8 ACs) is most people have already played these classes, and maybe they want to re-roll, or maybe they want to roll on another server with some friends. This token would give them the chance to do so. Anyone who uses the "leveling teaches you your character" excuse has obviously never played with any max level characters that still suck. The 55 level grind is a flimsy excuse at best.
