I don't see that pointing out some folks might be miffed that they rolled a bunch of alternate ACs, only to find out that they game will allow AC swap is that much of a stretch. I think it will happen.

Much like many folks were angered every time armor they worked hard for was supplanted by new armor, every time changes were made to speeders, the sprint changes, changes to cooldowns on quick travel, legacy perks...etc.

Many of these changes belittled efforts players had made in the past, and that made quite a few folks mad.

Lucky for us that didn't seem to be a concern for Bioware's new staff. I think this one should fall into that mold. It will probably make some folks upset...and that should not be the reason not to add it...in fact it is one of the reasons to add it...players like that should be mad IMO, it means the game is doing something right.

The reasons to not add this feature to the game are self evident and reputable....but this is not one of them.

It has been proven over and over and over again that going from a vanguard to a commando is NO DIFFERENT then going from a vanguard to a marauder. They are completely different classes according to the people who made the game. There is no higher authority then that, you simply lack the ability to understand that you do not get everything for nothing. For once just EARN something.
^ This…..So happy someone else has common sense.

In order to appreciate the Light, you must spend time in the Darkness.

you are the one who is acting like a child, you ask for an explanation of something and you get it. However it doesn't fir your viewpoint so therefore the explanation never happened.

You are the one with the skewed view not everyone else. Pretty much everyone knows that each class is different and paying for a class change is nothing more then pay to win. The people who want pay to win are the little kid players who have their mom buy them everything because they feel entitled to everything without earning anything.

There is no reason you can ever give that justifies giving someone a completely new class at max level. You want to claim that a vanguard and a commando are the same class, yet the devs have said you are flat out wrong. Everyone who has played both classes have told you that you are wrong. You just want people to say yes you can have everything while earning nothing. That is not how things in life work. I know this is a game, but its an MMO and there is no MMO of this style that just allows you to change classes, they allow you to change specs. You just do not want to hear that your definition of spec is incorrect.

I know it's a bit harsh, but lets look at some things here. Many of the changes made recently have made many folks upset. But the game was heading for a crash landing, and now it can be argued it is finally appealing to a wider playerbase...a casual playerbase.

It is very unlikely a casual player would be mad if something like this is implemented. It is, however very likely that a hardcore player will not be happy about it.

And let's face it...it can be argued that hardcore players were happy with the game as it was, and it was sinking fast. They simply could not support the game. The game needed casual appeal, and many of those changes to give the game more casual appeal are distasteful to traditional hardcore players...evidence all over the forum.

So, in essence, if you are making hardcore players angry you are probably doing something right...it is a shame, but the market has changed. Games are not what they used to be and likely will never be that way again.

It's a new day. For better or worse.

I totally agree, and like I said before, I think most of the people that are still around are here to stay for better or worse, the point is to try making this game more appealing to others as well besides just the dedicated fanbase, this could be a feature that might make the game more popular.

it will only POSSIBLY make it more popular for the "entitled" players which are not the people who sub for years on end. MMOs are built around people playing for YEARS putting lots of time in their characters... the second you make the pay pay to win, which is what you want, you instantly kill the lifespan of the game.

If people no longer have to level then everything they built is worthless, there is no time invested into anything no attachment to their characters and no-one subbing anymore.

You simply want a payed shortcut to skip the game. There is nothing good that comes from paying to skip the game.

Do you go to the movies just to watch the last 15 minutes??? Because that is what you are asking in terms of this game.
