the "issue" is human stupidity...ask Ron White about that one.

Spoiler Alert - "You can't fix stupid"
What's your problem, mate? It IS a **** chair. You love the game so much you don't like it when people complain about it?

At any rate I think it would be nice if they extended the spawn time to infinity unless you are attacked or move, just like a mount. I'd be willing to bet that would make quite a few folks happy.

Considering that the majority of chairs in the galaxy are not able to be sat upon, it would have been nice had this been a more permanent emote that could be used for extended periods. Making it another "instead of your class rest" animation was a dumb idea.

It's like the Companion Dance Legacy emote. Why bother when you have to spam it again and again to keep dancing? Like they couldn't make that work like any other dance emote? Pfft!

I agree with the OP. This is totally lame.

Only the meek get pinched. The bold survive.

Why they can't just make a ridiculously long channeling time on this item...?

This is an almost comical example of just how completely and utterly out of touch with the customer base Bioware is.

Players have been asking for a sitting emote since beta and we get one roughly a year and a half later, it's temporary, and you have to buy it?

To further highlight the complete ridiculousness that this is...

- Chair sitting has existed in the game since day 1... but only in the pilot's chair of your ship, or recently in the floaty space chairs. It exists. It's been mapped.
- CoH had not one, not two, but five(?) different seating postures... 10 years ago.

This game is starting to remind me of the play in The Producers. Are they trying to make it worse intentionally to reap the tax breaks?

Maybe in the next cartel pack, they'll give us a laser pointer to taunt our Cathar friends with.

It'd only be slightly less stupid than the 10 second chair.

City of heroes went further than that. They had a sit emote for every possible thing or area a player would want to sit on. Let's see. There was...
  • sit: Sits down, legs forward, with knees bent, elbows on knees, and slightly slumped over, stance.
  • sitbench1: Sits leaning back with legs at almost straight angle. (Issue 8)
  • sitbench2: Sits with right leg crossed under left. (Issue 8)
  • sitbench3: Sprawls out with arms spread out, presumably on the back of the sofa or bench. (Issue 8)
  • sitbench4: Sits upright with legs slightly extended in front. (Issue 8)
  • sitchair1: Sits with hands on knees, legs slightly spread and squared. (Issue 8)
  • sitchair2: Sits with arms on legs, slightly hunched forward. (Issue 8)
  • sitchair3: Sits with hands on legs and legs slightly extended in front. (Same as sitbench4) (Issue 8)
  • sitexecutivechair: Sit with arms at side, as if on armrests, and leaning back. (Issue 8)
  • sitstool: Sit with one leg propped slightly higher than the other. (Issue 8)
  • sittable1: Same as sit (Issue 8)
  • sittable2: Same as sitstool (Issue 8)
  • ledgesit: Sit with legs over the edge of whatever you're standing on with one of two postures. (issue 6)
  • and yoga (lotus): Sits down cross legged with hands on knees/legs, holds stance. Works while flying or hovering.

That's 14 different sit emotes, 15 if you count both postures of ledgesit.

Only the meek get pinched. The bold survive.

They only had one real flaw to it.

The 15 seconds of trying to position yourself to sit in the world without your legs going into the place you're trying to sit.

Oh Maker, the constant adjustments to make it just right! MY HEEL WAS ALWAYS TWO GAME INCHES TOO FAR FROM THE MARK! I'M SITTING ON THE CUSP OF MY BOTTOM! I NEED TO FIX THIS OR THE RP WILL BE RUINED! IT'S ALL MY FAULT! IT'S ALL MY FAULT! IT'S ANARCHY, I TELL YOU, MAN! ANARCHY! CHARLIE'S IN THE TREES! CHARLIE'S IN THE TREES!

What does a /sit emote have to do with RP and/or in-game socializing? Sure, I would not complain if there were a /sit emote, but it's hardly necessary. RP takes place in the imagination, not on the computer screen.

If you need "simulated living" to facilitate your so-called RP, you should play Second Life.

If that's how you feel, why are you still subscribing (assuming you have not canceled)?
