Perhaps. I could see how that works, but before they do that, they should allow people a 1 time ac switch, LOL.

It may seem like a minor change at first glance, but I really think it'd have a Butterfly Effect on how the advanced classes are viewed. It certainly worked that way for Everquest 2.

I could see how it could be effective, they could even go further in with it too and allow people to get a feel of both AC's between 1-10 then when you get out of the "starting area" decide your fate.

if you actually knew the classes you would know a powertech has a bit more in common with a juggernaught then a mercenary... both are melee classes that can tank or DPS...

so where is your reasoning there... if you are just going by what is similar.

because half the the mercenary and powertech abilities come from being a bounty hunter and have same story and background, they have no affiliation with a juggernaut.

But that would require you to forget half your skills and perhaps a weapon/armor proficiency at level 10, which is basically the same problem I'd have with a full-on advanced class change.

For example, letting Sith Warriors get a feel for both their advanced classes from 1-10 would result in low-level Sith Warriors running around Korriban in heavy armor with two lightsabers. At level 10, they'd have to forget either how to wear heavy armor, or how to wield two lightsabers, in addition to forgetting half the skills they paid credits to learn up to that point.

they share less then 1/3 of the same rotational skills. Having them and using them are 2 very different things.
