Then again, that's how its getting to be with this game. They show something, you get your hopes up, and then find out its a total let down.
See that right there is exactly the problem "you get your hopes up". Bioware didn't claim it as something and then turn around and make it something else, you all who made an assumption about what it would be and get upset as if you were lied to about what it actually is.

Just off the top of my head.

Perhaps you should name them and provide evidence of your claims, so you don't wind up looking like you're just making it all up.
The Bioware defence force makes me laugh out loud sometimes.

Stating the ability to chat in an MMO is catered towards RP'ers is probably the dumbest thing I have ever read on this messageboard.

Oh no! Not this 10 seconds bs again. We already have 10 sec Life Day Orb.
Why not 15 seconds, Bioware???

Alright, so you come to me and tell me you're dying of thirst (before someone cries about the comparison, not literally). In response I get up and grab a bottle of salt water out of the fridge. I didn't tell you it was salt water, but I live on the beach so do I really have to? Would that make you the bad guy for assuming I was grabbing a bottle of fresh water?

What a ridiculously absurd straw man argument. First off you are not going to die if you don't get the stupid chair, so trying to make that comparison is so ridiculously childish that its sad really. Second, as I said you made an assumption, Bioware didn't say look we have a chair here for you to sit in and prattle on in a RP fashion. You along with a few others that I would consider rather dense just presumed that was its purpose without even checking it out first, the phrase buyer beware seems appropriate right about now. Now if Bioware came out and said it was something to Sit in for hours on end or even alluded to it in the item description I might of just given you your argument but because this whole sadly pathetic thread is based off of a few people's assumptions I will give no quarter on calling you all out for the drama queens you are acting like.

People, stop buying the crack. It's like walking into North Philly and buying crack only to know you just bought baby powder with a hint of Ajax. Look at it like this, if you stop supplying the slobs that run this game, you'll cut them off and they'll go away, simple. End this madness and embrace a wealth of new games just around the corner. I will now be given yet another warning for speaking the truth. I have become EA, destroyer of all gaming worlds.

Lol I knew you were just going to get mad and cry about the comparison, the simple analogy was too much to comprehend huh? Or do you even know what that is? My favorite part is how I clearly said in quotes not to take 'dying of thirst' literally and that's the first thing you did. The only info BW gave prior to the public release was yesterday's picture and the title 'Portable Relaxation Unit'. We didn't just pull this complaint out of the blue. The tooltip, which was also never seen before 2.2 outside the PTS, says nothing what-so-ever about the animation only lasting for 10 seconds or any amount of time for that matter. The assumption we'd be able to use them like actual chairs is not as far-fetched as you biodrones like to believe. Try again though, I don't have a problem making you look stupid.

only one looking stupid is you and anyone that bought it and are now whining because THEY DIDN'T READ THE DESCRIPTION

you ASSUMED it was something..that it's not. that it never was. and that it never was alluded to being.

NONE of you have a legitimate reason to whine about this. And it certainly IS NOT a "scam" (speaking of which maybe you should educate yourself on what a scam is before throwing the word around)

you assumed. bought blindly. and now want to cry that it wasn't what you thought it was...when if you took 5 seconds to READ the description...y'know..like any intelligent buyer would have done...you would have seen it wasn't what you ASSUMED it was.

I've accidently bought things both from CM, and from GTN...that I wasn't able to then use because -I- didn't read the description fully (armor pieces for a companion that I didn't read was "trooper" (or whatever) only)...I knew it was MY fault and I didn't come to the forums crying to Bio and calling something a scam because I was the idiot that didn't read the damn thing.

your fault. no one elses. no reason for this thread in any means.

No I comprehended your attempt at a straw man argument just fine. I merely called you out for your flawed logic and cry me a river drama queen routine for making an unfounded assumption. You are blaming everyone else for you assuming wrongly. Then when you came to the forums to whine about it and didn't get your hand held and told "it's ok you're still a very special boy" you resort to asinine apples to oranges what ifs in an attempt to justify your over reaction.

After all that when you still have no leg to stand on you go off on the bio drone kick. I am far from being a bio drone, but I certainly have no problem calling a spade a spade. You are railing here that the tool tip doesn't say it's only usable for 10 seconds but where does it say in the tool tip that it is a persistent item until movement. Hell besides speeders and pets I am having a hard time thinking of any item in game that remains persistent. Most all of them seem to disappear after about 10 to 15 seconds. But that would take a little bit of critical thought so it may of been a bit beyond your ability in your current vulnerable drama queen like state. No you are the one who is making yourself look like a fool and it has been quite evident since page 1.

Oh and in your own words the "only" info we had prior to today was a picture and the title portable relaxation chair, tell me, where in there does it say its a persistent item? Tell me where is there false advertisement in that information that would warrant having the chair called a scam? I tell ya what I am willing to bet if I logged into the game right now that none of the items that do the same thing that this chair does will say "only lasts for ten seconds". Will you then claim that they are a scam too because they don't say that they only stay out for ten seconds? Hmmm would you look at that they seem to say "You regenerate health and your class' energy pool while [seated/frozen/etc]". Strange they all seemed to be worded almost identically, now if only there was some way to read the description of these items from some sort of preview box and compare it to other items before buying them or trying to find them in the cartel pack......if only.

Maybe next time you should do a little research before coming in here screeching like Jr High school girls and save yourself the embarrassment.
