so how about... oh I don't know - making suggestions for the future reference? there's another post that I saw that suggested to make these channeled regeneration items last until canceled instead of limited time. now THAT's constructive.

if you want specific features - you have to suggest them, explain how would they work, why would they be awesome, etc. make a proposal instead of a baseless accusation of "SCAM!"
This is what I think too. A scam requires intent to deceive. I think it just didn't occur to them.

While I do understand people's frustrations with seemingly getting something they have wanted for so long only to find out it doesn't work at all the way they thought it would, I also think it would be more constructive to politely suggest a change be made to have the item work they way they would like to use it rather than starting flame wars and making exaggerated inflammatory accusations.

There's a suggestions forum so why not utilize it?

Well, let's see, the ability to chat, to have your character's avatar walk around, buy stuff, give stuff to other players' characters, to do custom emotes, to do other emotes (some more RPish that others, no argument there), invite other players' characters on board the the character's ship.

Just off the top of my head.

Perhaps I should point out that, every Developer who ever spoke up for RP, ever fought for RP, or gave a damn about RP, got laid off before F2P
Perhaps you should name them and provide evidence of your claims, so you don't wind up looking like you're just making it all up.

Because non-RPers don't use any of those features. . . lol? The only one you really have an argument with is custom emotes, but even those don't work as well as RPers would like (they're faction specific).

They don't? I was under the impression pretty much everyone used those features. Including RPers.

So a feature is not an RP feature unless it's intended to be used exclusively by RPers? I will get back to you after I finish laughing at that notion.

Never said, or even implied, that but the idiotic things you suggested like chatting and character avatars are not RP features. That's just laughable.

YOU had it in your head that it was something that it wasnt. Bioware never stated that this "chair'" was the answer to the requests form people to sit in chairs like those on the ships. YOU assumed, just like the OP, that this was something that it wasnt. You all act like it was falsely advertised as something else.

Myself, I had a hunch it was going to be just like the carbonite chamber and the kolto tank, something myself and a guild mate discussed last night. But dont get mad at Bioware for some presumed slight of false advertising as your tone definitely seems to imply when they never said it was what you hoped it was.

I will say that the name "Portable Relaxation Unit" is quite misleading. 10 seconds is not enough time for me to get to a relaxed state in real life so I think the same should be true in SWTOR. When you get a 15 minute break from work at your job and you want to sit down, you usually need more than a 10 second chair sitting break. Can you imagine every 10 seconds having to stand up and sit down again for another 10 seconds? That sounds anything but relaxing lol.

On the other hand, I agree that it is not indeed a scam... it's more so a ploy for impulsive shoppers ha
