So hardly a SCAM! as you put it, but more like you building up an illusion in your head about what it would be before it was even released...
i didn't know anything about this chair before it was released. if i saw a chair, i would naturally think it's something to sit on. i have a portable chair in real life, it doesn't disappear. to think there is some natural or common assumption that chairs behave in this way is, in my opinion, flawed.

clearly i fall into the outlier in your "pretty much everyone" statement. that's fine, there are outliers and your comment reflects that. do you have any empirical data that would support what pretty much everyone knows to be true? or is that statement just an illusion in your head?

You've pretty much described everything about this game for the past year.

The thing could be blessed by the touch of The Almighty™ himself/herself and people would still complain about it.

For RP players, this game is just one let down after another. Chat Bubbles, Hood Toggle, Armor Dye system, nickel and dime recustomization...

Throw us a bone here guys!

And stop trying to defend these stupid regen toys! Carbonite Chamber, Kolto Tank, and now this Chair, all should last until canceled, not a pathetic ten seconds.

All the best things they could have ever done for RP in SWTOR, pissed away on some idiot's stupid idea.
Right? The Carbonite Chamber, Kolto Tank, and now the Chair all have the potential to be great tools for RP. As it is the only real use they have is to be shown-off when everyone is running around like idiots waiting for a big group to form. Whoever is coming up with this stuff definitely needs smacked around a few times, or at least given access to community feedback.

I'm not much of a roleplayer, but sorry to hear about that. I know this is one big feature they've been wanting for quite some time, sucks it's not what you thought.

Don't. Don't try to pretend that we roleplayers are the other playstyles. We take what we get and make it work. We don't blindly whine about our lack of features. Those tactics are what PVE and PVP do. We just make the best of what we get and it's always ends up great.

Roleplayers do not whine. We do not "get slapped in the face". We do not beg for features.

We are above such childish acts. If you area real roleplayer, you would be too.

And apologies to any PVE and PVP players for the generalizations.

And that's why we don't get anything nice. Because you don't speak up, you don't get mad, you don't stand up and be counted. Like a good little sheep, you take what scraps you're given out of the garbage, and you say "Thank you, may I have another?"

People like you are not only what's wrong with the RP community, or the game, you're what's wrong with the whole Human race. Please don't ever wander into a voting booth if that's how you think, you're only going to do more harm than good.
Currently in an Imperial rehabilitation facility receiving treatment for WoW addiction.

wait a minute... so instead of reading description in MULTIPLE places before even making a purchase (it IS one of the items profiled on archon page, you know) YOU decided that it SHOULD perform certain function YOU want it to.. and when obviously - it didn't because it wasn't designed for it and was never advertised as anything other than what it is... you are calling it a scam?

then again, I shouldn't be surprised, after all - this is the world where people buy hot coffee, spill it on themselves and then successfully sued the company that sold them that coffee... for it being hot >_>

Exactly. Would it be nice to have certain features like more emotes and being able to sit down in a chair rather than on a chair? Sure. Is it possible to RP fully and completely without them? Double sure. RPers need nothing more than imagination.

There is a difference between standing up for yourself and falling on your back in a tantrum. You're not being an activist for player rights. You're acting like a baby. Roleplayers can make our point with clear and reasonable threads, not pointless self victimizing and pointing fingers. You are whats truly wrong with the human race. a perpetual victim who thinks that if he cries hard enough, Mommy will sigh and give him what he wants, rather than work with what you have an make it work like an actual adult.

So how about you do me and the rest of the world a favor. Do not procreate. It's bad enough I have to sit next to a whining child on the bus. I'd really hate to sit next to him and his own mortified child too.
