No one is asking you to give these away free. But your pricing makes no sense. The pieces one tier down are 400 comms. This is about 1/3rd the price of the highest piece of gear (chest). Which means on ranked side they should be running about 3000 comms total (1000 ranked).
You can't get a mod and enhancement from a belt because belt and wrists don't have enhancements . You can only get cheap "bundled" mods and enhancements if the gloves or boots have both that you need.

He's saying not everyone has a BiS mod option from the current sets.

For instance, BiS mod for Sentinels is Advanced Deft Mod. You cannot find this in a single piece of gear in the Partisan or Conqueror sets. So for a Sent/Mar to be BiS for mods they're only option would be to purchase the mods from the vendor. You need 9 of them.

That's 54,000 comms just for mods. Whereas someone who could pull their mod from bracers would pay 38,700.

16,000 comms is a gaping difference. Assuming you won every single match, that's 114 additional games that have to be played for classes that cannot get their mods from belt or braces.

Seems fair...

I forget the exact options, but I think all the mods that come bundled in gear are 65aim/14pwr, but you can buy individual mods with lower aim and more side stats (there are other combinations, but pwr is usually the best choice).

It's the Agile Mod 28AX. Same thing as Sents are dealing with for the Deft Mods. You dps troopers want the default Agile Mod 28X, not the letter variant, but you can only get it through the individual purchase.

I talked to the combat guys to get clarification on this. The current pricing of ranked mods and enhancements is by design. The reason is that PvP players in general have less access to a variance in gearing, especially compared to PvE players. The purpose of these mods is to allow players another method of min/maxxing their gear. This will allow you to get access to the full gear set fairly quickly and then allow a new set of customization for the min/maxxer after that.

While it can be cheaper to purchase the bulk item, that would only work if the mod or enhancement is actually available on an item. Having all the varieties of mods & enhancements purchasable separately will allow PvP players the option to itemize themselves in mods/enhancements that are not found on the standard sets.

With that being said we will continue to monitor item costs. Hope that clears things up!

So, in other words, your 'Combat Guys' are allowing us to min/max our gear; however, you are going to charge us through our noses to do it. Simply put, you are price gouging us. I'm surprised you all aren't charging us 6,000 Cartel Coins to do so. Either way, you are putting the screws to us. Nice work 'Combat Guys.' You really know how to show us some true love. Next time, give us a kiss or give a reach around.

I can buy a 6 pack of beer for $6 but you want to charge us $8 per beer if bought seperately?

We did this to make it easier for you to get drunk cheaper!

What the .....
THAT pretty much sum's up my feelings on the matter.

The combat guys have the same broken slide ruler that the Cartel Market pricing team and DR Stat Curve DEV's are using. Maybe BW needs to invest in some computer based calculators since basic math is so elusive. The prices are about 2x-3x what they should be for the same items. YES they should cost more to buy three separate items, but not more than 200-300 RWZ comms. Let's get real folks.

The prices on 65 pvp mods and enhancements are outrageous and make no sence whatsoever. They should be lowered by half minimum.

It is price gouging and forcing us to buy this stuff to min/max due to them not having any pvp content. And it also shows their distain towards pvpers in general.

The purple crafted 54 gear being bis is also proof of this.
