now i play this game for a few weeks and testing alot
in my few SWTOR is rely not so F2P

you can play the story but thats it
if you want more you need to pay simple as that

the model bioware use is more a test for f2P players
if you like it and want more give us mony

but am very sure alot of f2p players leave soon becouse the cant do much in this game to be as good as subs

my self i try 60 days also have buy new update hutt cartel
and i see my self i do it alot beter but in comes with a price

am very sure in a few weeks alot of pll leave becouse they dont wanne spend mony in a game
so we are back again with a almost empty game

the restriction what bioware use is very heavy for f2p users
1 thing i hate was the chat that f2p users need to w8 long bevore they can chat again it piss me off

so yea no orther option to get sub
and now i see i chat very fast with out w8ting

and the cap to get mony if am right it was 350k max also sucks
so yea for a F2P players there is not much to do ore they need to spend mony

but every companie is hunger for mony

sorry for my bad english

Artemis, how long have you been on this forum?

You know damn well no one here can make a point without an insult in their post.

You stuck up, half-witted, scruffy-looking Nerf herder.

Believe me - when I tried SWTOR as a preferred player, I absolutely noticed several restrictions (action bars, character slots, inventory, xp gain) and was convinced it was not for me - so I resubbed.

Which of course is exactly what EA/BW wants.
You weren't free. You were preferred if you had a previous account.

Why do we need a better F2P model? (and why do you believe to know, what is better?)
You're missing the point. It's not about what TOR offers with their F2P model... it's what they don't offer. In nearly every other F2P MMO, you get the ENTIRE game for free. All that you get by subscribing and buying things in the cash shop is bonuses. When I play GW2, I can play the ENTIRE game, without ANY limitations, all free.
Size matters not!

All games should be F2P and have a cash shop. It's a better business model, it's been proven with many titles now.
The MMO developers in general want to get away from a subscriber model as it limits who can play and who can't.
It's why newer mmos coming out now are using a F2P model with a cash shop.

Can we dump all the F2P people to special servers? I don't want to play with them.

Yeah right it is not like 2.4M ppl have bought Swtor and still had to pay subscription and weee... we also have a cash shop.
Wonder how GW2 is doing so well without subscription and a shameless cash grab like the cash shop in this game.
So it is comparable not in the sence of is the f2p model fair but in a sence of why can GW2 do so well without all this obviouse tryes to suck money out of customers pockets.
Is that what they do right now with f2p restrictions and the massive push of the cash shop really necessary?
I think it is not.
