Because Biofail would have to kill you if they told you. Its part of the NDA they signed with the Empire over hood technology.

I just bought a second one to be sure, my hood stays up even with the Inquisitor Headgear on underneath. I did try clicking the hide head slot on and off to see if that worked, but it doesn't. If I put a helmet on my hood toggles off and it is not modeled in the down position so vanishes altogether. Which brings me to the next thought. The toggle switch is already in place, so there simply needs to be a hood down model and the textures for those robes that would need a hood down. I could do it that for 30 different sets of armor in about a week.

Yep, the new patch says "Conquer your nightmares" so basically they put in the hood toggle, but for 100k cartel coins, and it's one-time use only. Conquer your nightmares indeed.

For reasons that are beyond me, they sometimes don't appear to like replying to what are, in the end, minor things. (Like... the portable Hutt trainer's sudden lack of a laugh. You'd think they could tell us what's up with that, but... nope.)

I don't know why they don't just tell us that they are working on it/aren't working on it anymore/won't work on it ever again or maybe that it's going to be added soon.

What I'm about to say isn't specifically aimed at you, but in general about BW statements.

They only tell us something they can hype and sell in the media. When will people realize that BW does not give 2 ***** about the forums and ONLY respond to things that their PR idiots have approved. Every time they claim to "listen to the community" it's something they would have done/added REGARDLESS and just say to fool people.

If they ACTUALLY cared about the forum community AT ALL they would say something about multiple issues but don't, at all, ever. A prime example of this is the Twi'lek Lekku thing and hoods or possible new "headbands". Then we have the hood toggle which they have stayed silent about since forever. They also haven't made a serious and definitive answer about SGRA nor continuation of class stories and story content in general. Just vague statements that could mean ANYTHING that are said with the obvious intent of keeping people arguing about them and guessing so people still hopeful don't leave.

While none of this bothers me that much, it saddens me when people are pulled in by PR talk and vague nonsense which can mean 10 different things, then argue about it on the forums.

It must be said though, that it's not the developers fault so raging at them is stupid. Every time a dev makes a post there is a PR douche over their shoulder dictating what they can and cannot say. They would love to divulge all their plans and what they are working on but can't because some dude who has never played an MMO, let alone a video game, in their lives dictates when to sell, what and how.

I know this wasn't directed specifically at me, but yes, I know. We won't get a clear answer on class story continuation etc any time soon and so people will continue to believe that they'll eventually get their personal chapter 4 (or 5 if you have to count Makeb) for a while yet. They won't outright say it's not going to happen, because that confirmation would probably upset people more than just vague hints.

I merely figured that maybe these minor things aren't important enough to have to go through a PR check first, but obviously I don't know. Maybe anything they post about game content/mechanics/updates has to be approved of first, it's possible.

I also know it's not the devs' fault. I think they do care about the game and about the players, but I don't think they get to make half as many decisions as we would like to think.
