It happens more often then people want to admit.

LOL, that was exactly the same thought I had as soon as I saw that. However, I did see some guy wearing the Huttsbane armor in a flashpoint PUG. I have no idea why....but he had it. I think that's the only person I've seen with it yet....maybe 1 other person.

When I saw the Huttsbane armour for the first time, I didn't think it was humanly possible to make uglier armour. Then I saw that crap on the market this week.

Good god. It's bloody hideous. What happened, did the person who designed the relaxed jumpsuit and Eradicator's Black Hooded robes ask for a raise and get fired? What?

FFS, don't waste space with that ugly SHT. NO ONE WANTS IT. (pretty damn sure of that lol)

OHHHH snap.. you un subscribed.

well you can still play the game though. have at it broski.

what's even cooler is you don't even need to be a sub to give swtor your money either! that's kind of why there's a cartel market to use. and many use it.

how long you going to ride the 'swtor will fail train' 3 maybe 4 years into SWTOR's life span?

My Scoundrel wears the medium armor equivalent with a (darker blue/blue) dye pack and it is really pretty on her. There are some dyes that makes it look really nice. However the best thing for me would be if the dye changed the orange arms on the piece and not the scarf. Quite like that armor and would like to use it on more characters if I could get it in anything else than orange.

People in this thread need to learn more about the Pareto principle. This item is a very clear example of it.

To say it quickly.. about 20% of a shop's products make about 80% of the shop's income, while the 80% other items make only 20% of the shop's income. Why even have those 80% other items you might say? Well because if you don't have a complete enough set of items to buy, people won't come to your shop to get those 20% items, but chose to go to a shop that does sell those few items they do have that you do not.

It is a simple marketing principle about making sure your stock of items is broad enough to make sure people spend money in your shop, and not others.

Having items like this, or Huttsbane, are all about that same principle. You release these items for a very small subset of your customer base, in this case probably Roleplayers looking for a 'civilian' outfit, to make sure your stock is complete enough. Once people feel they can get everything they want from you, they will stay more loyal to your shop.

So.. from just the Pareto principle, you can say that for every Valiant Jedi set, or for every other good looking set everyone will love, you need to have 4 less universally enjoyed sets to ensure your stock is broad enough to appeal to your entire market.

Understand this principle, and you understand why Bioware 'wastes' slots of 'armor development' on these things. and yes, they are just skins already available in game made adaptive. A simple, quickly made item is perfect to be in the 80% group.. while the star sets, the unique ones, need to be in the 20% group. Cost vs Reward.. they never expected you all to buy this item.

And just how many companies everyday close down with people loosing their jobs
to stupid retardedprinciples like this

This is reality, make nice quality products and take care of your customer=people coming back for more=
company does well in long term. OR do like BioWare try to sell same outfit/speeder over and over in
gambling packs with new color and make horrible looking outfits=losing customers and paying subs

Wow, just Wow on this thread. Seriously?

It's not like you are forced to buy anything they put up on the Cartel shop, so who cares? I like the speeder, so I bought it. I looked at the Turncoat clothes, and didn't, so I didn't buy it, and that is where my thinking of it ended, until I saw this pile of whinge.

Let it go. Keep this kind of anger up it's likely to cause an ulcer, or a heart attack, or something equally as bad.

It's just something on a computer game store. If you don't like it, don't support it and move on, it's really that simple.
