The next class will be the "Cartel Pack Master"
To unlock this class you will have to purchase 1000 cartel packs which earns you the "Sucker" title.

This class has a special random cartel pack combat ability. You never know what you will get!!
When you use this special class power a cartel pack drops and opens for you containing random things you can use to attack your enemies.( disclaimer - using this ability will cost you a small amount of cartel coins)
Such as
- Jawa Gram Force choke
- Jawa Gram Dirty Kick
- Genteel dress clothes cannon that launches various genteel adaptive gear at enemies doing extreme damage
- Luxury Skiff grand slam- you ram into your enemies on a skiff knocking them back doing massive damage

Don't understand why people think this is funny.

Seriously -- not only is it completely unoriginal -- it is just annoying now. -.-

Game does not own it's profits. It all goes back to EA.
Game is going well, meaning it provides enough profit for EA to continue it's funding, meaning keep developement on same level as it is now.
And current level appears to be really really low. Thus, with curent workforce and funding, they can't keep on releasing content to keep people interested, and at the same time develop entirely new class.

In independent company game (or one that understands how MMO works) game doing well means it might grow faster/better. But this is EA.

I just want an imperial trooper and a republic SIS agent, the current story is a perfect time to implement them but I know it won't happen. Of course there is always the idea that any new class could start at a higher level and go right in to the high level content, have a special starter area where they acquire all their companions and ship then go in to the main game world.
Raid progression no one cares about. Unimpressive quote or one liner. Uninteresting guild name. List of characters with their level and class symbol. Server. Referral link.

New advanced classes are always options, or new skill trees for the current advanced classes we have.
These are just not well thought stupid ideas that i currently have with the small amount of time i have. I'm sure you guys can come up with even better ideas .

Like:
Consular => Jedi Trickster (Support, dps tree, debuffer like, 1 handed melee/range consular using mind tricks, mind games)
Knight => Jedi Ambassador (Niman form, single lightsaber, support/mdps trees, focused more on disarming and weakening while boosting morale for others)
Trooper => ??? (Frontline soldier with a vibroblade and a scattergun. )
Smuggler => Hunter (or SIS agent, republic guy with a sniper rifle, focuses mostly on putting explosive mines, bombs on target that other people explode, gives debuffs which is support, then ofc the dps focusing more on dps. Not sure how you can make this original, different setup than what the slinger has)

Inquisitor => Sith Deceiver (Mirror, support like)
Juggernaught => Sith Heretic (mirror class)
Bounty Hunter => Brawler (Give the guy an axe and a blaster, let him do the rest )
Agent => Tech Specialist (Blaster and a scattergun, works mostly with bombs)

Support is more like , do %5 less dps but let the others do %5 more dps. Buff and boost people or weaken your enemy. Might work awesomely if done correctly, only thing swtor is lacking .
Hakko of the Red Eclipse ( Telekinetics Sage )

If they ever introduce new classes most likely it will be new advanced classes of existing classes. They won't create 2 new stories with fully voiced story lines and ensure they tie in with the story line of other classes.

I've always thought Smugglers and Bounty Hunters should be able to go to both factions.

That was my thinking too, and it would be the cheapest class to add since it would just need to be added to one side...so one class for each side to start.

In other words, I would kick off adding new classes by adding an Imperial smuggler and Republic BH to the mix. Then later I would add a third faction but start it with just BH and Smugglers and convert the entire 1-10 leveling experience to it for Smugglers and BH....set it up to be expanded later. At level 10 you would be forced to choose either Republic or Imperial.

Out of all the options this method would probably be the cheapest.

Then later I would add the Imperial Troopers and Republic Agents, while at the same time adding classes to the Underworld faction side and opening it up to a full leveling experience with the ability for BH and Smugglers to remain.

This way it could be done in steps.

This is the one downside to not having generic story lines. I came from FFXI and our story line was generic. It also had a "jobs" system where your one character could switch to any jobs. So you only had to do the story line once, but could switch jobs and would level that new job from lvl 1, but wouldn't have to repeat the story.

The downside to this is of course there were no unique story lines for jobs, but it was also easy to add jobs. I think the game is now up to like 21 jobs. At some point they would have to offer new classes, but it make be at the expense of new storylines.

MAYBE, how they could get around the point you bring up is to only offer new Advanced Classes in the future. That way the new role would stick to a class story that was already in the game. So instead of each class only having the option of 2 Advanced Classes at lvl 10, they would have the choice of 3 advanced classes and so on.

Never going to happen. We are never even getting continuation for our current stories and you think they'll do 2 completely NEW ones? LOL.

Advanced classes, possibly, but base classes? NEVER happening.

The only way we'll see NEW classes (in the sense that they aren't just a new advanced skill tree) is some type of legacy class or "hero" class.

It would have to be similar to WoW. Once you have a class at X level, there will be some option or quest to change him into the new class.

That way they can keep all the same voice acting and models but they can build a new class.
